we just joined and it seems to me, with 55,000 titles, that it's the best movie-related thing ever...
anyone a member who is happy and/or sad about it and wants to share?

before we joined, my husband and i tried to stump it by thinking of the most random stuff... it not only had "les boys", a french-canadian movie about beer-league hockey, it also had "picasso trigger", a b-movie (think busty, bikin-ed babes shooting guns and flying helicopters) we caught a snippet of on beer-goggle theatre on Spike TV.  it's got 3 bonnaroo dvds, music dvds... anyway, yeah...
everything sucks. really.

Service has been up & down.  Netflix just settled a lawsuit and admits to slowing down shipments of DVD's if you are getting 9 or more a month - so it's not really unlimited.

When I first signed up, it was great.  I'd send in a DVD, and get one back 1-2 days later.  Then there was a phase when it took over a week.  I threatened to cancel, though, and since then it has been better.

Overall, Netflix is definitely worth the money.  We do it instead of cable, and love to watch all the HBO shows -Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sopranos, Carnivale.

yeah, netflix is great, definately worth the money.  It usually takes me 6 days to get a DVD back which works out fine for me because I don't have time to watch movies during the week anyway.

I feel bad for the local boys at wild and Wooly Video though.  I still go there for the real hard to find stuff, because Netflix doesn't have it all.  Oh, and they sent me two discs that wouldn't play on my machine, but that's all.
