Being from Pittsburgh this was like major news. I'm sure you all heard but if you didn't he was pretty seriously injured in a motorcylcle accident earlier today. I'm bummed out about the whole situation. At this point theres much uncertainity which is driving me nuts. He could be fine and start the season on time or it could be more serious. :-/

Well, after what I understand was seven hours of surgery, allegedly he's fine and will be, but....how friggin' stupid of it was him to not only be riding a cycle but without a helmet?

ive lived in either indiana or ohio my entire life, and neither one of these states have a helmet law, or if theyve passed one in the past few years, they dont enforce it.  of all the riders i see out on the road, id say less than 10% are wearing a helmet.
