QuoteThanks Jaimoe, I guess sometimes it's worth paying that little bit more if you're guaranteed a certain level of quality...

Man, some Critereon releases are priced too high. I've only rented Kurosawa's The Hidden Fortress since the DVD runs somewhere in the $30 CDN range - some Kurosawa CC DVDs go up to the $40 dollar CDN range or higher.

And on a personal aside Dragonboy, I phoned my friend in Japan yesterday morning and will be seeing him in a week's time when he comes to my wedding in Southern Ontario - with Japanese wife and kids in-tow (he's a redneck Japanese-Canadian). My cousin also resides in Japan (for the past 14 years) and will also be at my wedding.

ali

garden state

rosencrantz & guildenstern are dead (i love this movie - gary oldman & tim roth... so great)
the life aquatic
love a song for the way it makes you feel

Hold up a sec...you're getting married next week?!!
Congrats Jaimoe, that's fantastic news!!!

I do believe this warrants a thread of it's own...

Does the lucky lady like westerns as much as you do?  ;)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

The Grey Fox is a great period piece--you can probably find it on VHS (most likely used).
