Fact: Both "A" and "B" have apples.

If "A" gives 1 apple to "B" then "B" will have double the apples of "A".

But ....

If "B" gives 1 apple to "A" then both "A and B" will have equal amount
of
apples.

So, the question is how many apples do each have?

Fact: Both "A" and "B" have apples.

If "A" gives 1 apple to "B" then "B" will have double the apples of "A".

2(A-1) = B+1 so
2A-2 = B+1 so
2A=B+3

But ....

If "B" gives 1 apple to "A" then both "A and B" will have equal amount
of
apples.

B-1 = A+1 so
B = A+2

So, the question is how many apples do each have?

2A = (A+2) + 3
2A = A+5
A = 5
so
B = 7

I love these things.

Oh shit, you were just trying to figure out who the biggest nerd on the board is weren't you?  Busted.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Well, that depends on how many apples A and B eat while C is trying to figure out the fucking word problem.

Sorry Face.  You are not a chap.  I am assuming Horko thinks that only men can answer math questions. ;)
