Alabama basically beat Florida... so when Florida beats Ohio State's whimpy ass, it'll pretty much backup everything I've been saying since Day One...

Alabama is the National Champion, again.

then that means Ole Miss is National champs b/c Ole Miss beat Mississippi St and then Mississippi St beat Bama.

sweeeet!

Angry Ewok

No, that's not how it works. Ole Miss has always bowed before Alabama, since the history of man.

Trust me on this one, Alabama is the legitimate National Champion this year.

Wait, didn't Tn beat Alabama straight up.  Go FLORIDA!!!!!!
There's Still Time.........

Angry Ewok

No, dude... we're closing the season nearly undefeated.

You can expect all eyes to be on the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana... that's for sure.

Hearing that atrocious My Chemical Romance song during the intro almost made me turn off my television.

Holy shit!  It's over already.

Watch the replay of OSU's opening KO TD and see #1 from Florida get held.

I retract my previous statement.

The ONLY thing I can say about the "National Championship Game" is............One More GREAT reason for a playoff!!!!!!!!!!  As if we needed one.

The SEC is simply just the most dominant conference in the nation. Ohio St. has not seen such speed and strength.

I'd love to see Florida play Bosie St. in the Plus 1 game, but if there was a playoff system, we'd probably have Florida/LSU match-up. Just glad we didn't have to endure another lackluster defensvie performance in a Ohio St/Michigan re-match.

sweatboard

Nice, I just don't unerstand why Tn got dominated so physically in thier game.  It was humiliating.  The fact of the matter is the biggest difference in Tn in the last five years is THEY ARE SOFT now.  We lost all our toughness somewhere along the way.  We are much better coached and we execute much better this year but we still look so weak on the lines of scrimmage.  Fulmer USED to pride himself on dominating the line of scrimmage.
There's Still Time.........

Geez...what a blowout!  I would've never though that Florida would win 41-14.  Was Ohio State even trying to play?  Was the Mob rigging the game?  I mean...Troy Smith did not look at all like a Heisman Trophy winner.  But, Florida did play very well.  Sorta boring game, but because of the upset factor, I'll give it a 7.

OSU looked pretty sluggish coming off 52 days of rest.  Maybe they would have been at game speed if they had been playing tournament games in Dec! Anyways, congrats to the national champions: Boise State.  Really, we NEED a tourney here folks.  I'll bet the BCS still ranks OSU higher than Flordia.  They have only lost one and it was a quality loss to Flordia, who to say OSU isn't still the national champion? if we're going to base the best teams on schedules and stats and not on a tourney or wins and losses then it seems that OSU is the logical choice for national champion. Who can make a better case?

I think it's only a matter of time. People are getting tired of this little charade of a national championship game.

That was not a quality loss, that was an ass whipping.  The only loss Florida had was to a legit Auburn team.  And I wouldn't really say that they have been playing in tourney games in Dec.  They played one game the first week of Dec.  I'm not even a Florida fan, in fact I'm a Florida State fan  :'(  but there isn't really a case to make for Ohio State.  Sorry. At least they have good gymnastics...

Here Here!  What a load of horseshit the BCS game is.  Imagine if the NFL operated this way...would it be fucking Indy vs. Dallas every year in the so called championship game?  The ratings system for college football is so bogus.

It's horse shit.  And the BCS is contracted through 2011.

peanut butter puddin surprise

It's just a way to keep the so called big schools on top and the so called small schools under them.  Imagine a playoff system where Boise St. would have played Ohio State for the championship...would that not rock the house?  No other organized sport operates this way...not even NCAA basketball, they have a fuckin' playoff every March!  Gonzaga has an even chance of whoopin' Duke for the national title every year...not UCLA playing UMass every damn year for the title.

No wonder I don't watch it.  The playoffs for baseball, football, hockey, basketball (all pro) are all exciting every year.  This business of "oh sorry, the coaches/writers poll says Team A is the "best" and they get to play Team B for the "championship" is so lame.

Boooooooooo!
