Just got my Sport Select for tomorrows games:

JKV
ARZ
DEN
SD

If all four of those win by four or more points I'll have $75.60 more than I do at this moment.

That was a GREAT game to watch! Good job Titans, you made me curse and scream.

The reason I'm gloating to you in particular is that you seemed to think the Bengals D was in trouble during the preseason, but I believe I was my team who had 6 takeaways and a defense touchdown and your team that gave up 41 points.

Sure they should have won by more, but it's a W.  I'd rather eek out a win on opening night than have my ass handed to me on opening night.  Not much you can say about that.  But you're a saints fan, so I'm sure you're an expert at making excuses for your shitty team.

Steve McNair on the road is a much better QB than Peyton Manning at home; You got me there...

the bungles were 30th last year in total defense. 30th. Out of 32 teams. And you gloat to me b/c I think your D is suspect? 30th. And you are wondering why I think your D is suspect? 30th! (get it? it's not just me, homer). There may have been a few others (oh, I don't know, the whole NFL) who thinks your D is suspect. At some point, reality needs to set in that it's not just big bad me saying your D sux; it's a cold, hard fact. 30th. Only a moron would not supsect that the bungles d is sub-par. It's not personal man, it's called 3rd worst defense in the NFL last year. Give me a break.

Secondly, I have been watching the Saints lose football games before you were on this planet and have taken more shit about the Saints than you can dream about. So keep coming to me b/c it's totally flattering. I went years without anyone caring about the Saints, so keep coming homer, I'm liking this! You're like a little kid running up to his dad showing off the C+ he made on his big test. I am so proud of you son!

;D ;D

I've explained to you before why the Total Defense stat its bullshit, because it doesn't factor in takeaways.  Takeaways are a good thing.  They win football games.  If you can't understand that, then I think I know who the moron is.  Besides that was last season, live in the now.

Sure, other people talk smack about the Bengals D, but I'd say the same thing to them if they were on this message board talking smack. The whole league also said that the Colts defense was suspect last year, but it was good enough for them to win a super bowl, so I'm not sweating what the haters.

You can keep calling me a homer, but you're the one who picked your saints to beat the colts and then made excuses for them after they got beat 41-10!

Sounds like you gave yourself a break, but don't expect any from me.

Sorry dylan but that defense blows.  51 points to the Browns with who? at QB, Derek Anderson?  By the way I'm a 49er fan if you want to rip on my team, go right ahead ;)

nah, i won't rip on anyone's team for a bit.  I hope that that game was not an indication of things to come this season.  If so, you won't hear me ripping on anyone, except maybe the saints.  ;)

that was one of the worst losses I've ever seen!  Ouch!  Bring it on, peeps, I deserve to hear some smack this week.  :-[

i think the bengals deserve to miss the playoffs just for that!  in a positive note, this was the only game on my local cable, so at least it was entertaining and stayed competetive the entire game.

what fucking depressing loss!  And we have New England next week.  I don't know, maybe we can turn it around at home on monday night!

frustrating game to watch for the colts.  they could have put the nail in the coffin in the middle of the 3rd quarter, but they made me sweat it out.  however to give houston credit, they're becoming a real team and the rest of the league better watch out the rest of the season and the next few years.

also if dallas clark wasn't behind reggie wayne and marvin harrison, he'd easily be heralded as the best tight end in football.  i love that guy.

corey

The Texans gave them a run with 2 of their offensive playmakers out. That was a good game. I'm not sure that the Colts are as good as everyone thinks they are. The Titans gave them a run for their money last weekend as well.

ratsprayer

the colts are as good as everyone thinks, or at least as good as i think they are.  they did the same thing last year--squeaking out wins against inferior teams--then they turned it on at the end of the season when it matters most.  also you have to keep in mind that houston is greatly improved compared to last year.  it's arguable that tennessee has improved since they lost travis henry, but they're still a team that will be a thorn in the side of a good number of opponents the rest of the season.  i do think the colts will figure it out.  joseph addai so far seems to have no problem being the main back, and i chuckle to myself every time marvin harrison runs that sideline route.  you know he's going to do it, and it still can't be stopped.

Well, then crown their ass!

They are who we thought they were!

Giants finally won.

Awful first half had me thinking they were in for another blow out loss, but Eli really stepped it up, as did Shockey and Burress.

Derrick Ward also had a very nice game with some big first downs.

The defense collectively shut down the Skins in the second half.

Maybe we can turn it around after all.

:-?

The Cowboys really should take Crayton out of the game. He's playing with a broken pinky and has dropped 2 passes, one of them was in the endzone (right between the numbers).

Also, I know this is gonna get Dylan worked up, but Favre is having a pretty damn good season. I know that when I saw those jean commercials at the beginning of the season, I was yelling , "Retire, old man!", but now it's kinda fun to watch how well he's doing.
