Jam in the Dam/hotels?

trying to find hotels for the amsterdam festival---the reviews are confusing-does anyone have any recommendations?

It's, erm, in the interesting part of town and has some eccentric rooms... not been for a while, but it still looks pretty funky.

The Winston is quite a walk from Jam in the Dam and the location sure is interesting but it's not the best part of town to stay. I guess it all depends what you're looking for. If you want something nice and close to the fest check out the hotels on the east side of Vondelpark. There's quite a few around there, don't know the actual hotels but i'd recommend that area.
