That's where he got the name indeed.  That man has a beard in every sense of the word.  At the end of one of his now-famous backyard bare knuckle fights he says,"Give kimbo his bread, that's how a nigga eat".  Alan's really not a violent dude though.  

I'll make sure he sees this thread.  Looking forward to seeing him again.  We're going to have a bit of a Your Evening Windbreaker Reunion this evening in my living room.  Next weekend My Brother Benjamin's playing my living room, maybe I should just start charging admission to my house.  ;D
