QuoteThe SOS is a funny stat... Thankfully it doesn't count for anything.

Alabama's Schedule

@ #9 Clemson
Tulane
Western Kentucky
@ Arkansas
@ #3 Georgia
Kentucky
Mississippi
@ Tennessee
Arkansas State
@ #16 LSU
Mississippi State
Auburn
@ #3 Florida

Boise State's Schedule

Idaho State
Bowling Green
@ #17 Oregon
Louisiana Tech
@ Southern Miss
Hawaii
@ San Jose State
@ New Mexico State
Utah State
@ Idaho
@ Nevada
Fresno State

Tell me there isn't a 1-3 loss team in this country that would have much rather been on Boise State's schedule.

the problem is Boise State has played 6 teams with winning records as opposed to Bama who has played 4. Hell, Ole Miss has had a much harder schedule (#7 SOS), playing only 1 team (Arkansas) with a losing record.

I mean, there's a reason everyone knows Bama isn't the best team in the nation.

QuoteI mean, there's a reason everyone knows Bama isn't the best team in the nation.

Everyone for the past two weeks - except the voters, coaches, computers.

USA Today Poll
1. Alabama (44) 10-0 1,508

AP Top 25
1. Alabama (44) 10-0 1,604

BCS Standings
1. Alabama 10-0

So what you're saying is that you agree Ohio State deserved to be number 1 last year when they were ranked that high? Interesting...

I suggest you watch ESPN; they (Fowler, Corso, Herbstreit, etc...)
all answered pretty quickly that Florida, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, even USC had the best team in the nation, not Alabama.

Oh, that, and you also said it   ;D

Quote
We're the worst undefeated team in the country.

(it's so hard to win an argument around here)

Why so defensive? You guys bought your coach so now your players and future are secure, you're 10-0, #1 in the nation, but you are defending your team? And you're defending your team against some Ole Miss fan? These aren't the Bama fans I remember from Bear's era.
But, then again, Bear wasn't some ho' waiting for the next best thing to come around.

odd

Crispy

Well, now I've been brought back down to earth like BH, after OSU lost a squeaker to Texas, now we get utterly destroyed by Texas Tech. I had a lot of confidence going into this one as well as the rest of the season, now I'm worried about Colorado and thinking the OU game's going to be real tough to win. I think OU's pretty well recovered and is going to beat Texas Tech in Norman.

Strength of schedule does have an effect in the overall BCS rankings, because it factors into all of the computer rankings.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Angry Ewok

QuoteAnd you're defending your team against some Ole Miss fan?

You're an Ole Miss fan?

Penny Lane

enjoy the moment, brad---i've been in your shoes! don't listen to the haters! ;-)  (i think last week he only admitted that bama was the worst of the undefeated teams)

but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

An Escambia County couple died Saturday after an argument
over the Alabama/LSU football game ended in shotgun blasts,
according to Conecuh County authorities.

District Attorney Tommy Chapman identified the people killed
as Dennis and Donna Smith of Appleton Road near Brewton.

The shooting allegedly occurred about 7 p.m. at the home of
Michael Williams near the Owassa community in Conecuh
County, Chapman said.

Williams was arrested, Chapman said, and charged with two
counts of murder.

Dispatchers at the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office
declined to comment about the case.

Investigators said witnesses told them that Dennis Smith, an
LSU fan, called Williams, a fan of the Crimson Tide, after
the game Saturday evening and an argument ensued.

Officers said Donna Smith was a relative of Michael
Williams' girlfriend.

Soon, the Smiths arrived at Williams' home and the men
wound up in a physical altercation, officers said.

Smith retrieved a pistol from his vehicle, and threatened
Williams, who armed himself with a shotgun and fired two
blasts, striking and killing Dennis Smith, officers said.

Donna Smith then threatened Williams, who shot and killed
the woman, they said.

Investigators said alcohol was believed to have been a
factor in the killings, and the investigation was ongoing
late Sunday.

It's really entertaining when they kill themselves off like that. It makes it so much easier for the prison system and surrounding citizens.  ;D
Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so.

I got to see a half-dozen or so Mississippi State fans ejected at the game. Good entertainment. The game itself was pretty good, too. Nothing flashy, just a win.

It'll be the old school, smash mouth defense against the new age, explosive offensive. Hell of a showdown. I can't wait!

But first thing's first...
