QuoteThe NFL Network rules. I'm pretty sure that's the channel that I've watched 95 % of the time that my TV's been on for the last couple of weeks.

I've also been watching "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys" on HBO for the last few weeks. I'm not sure that I saw all of them, but I think I saw most of them. I watched the last episode this morning. I hate that it's over with. I loved that show. Good stuff.

Oh, yeah. Did I mention that I got NFL Sunday Ticket?!?!?!  :)
My wife actually called and ordered it. She's the BOMB!

Hard Knocks was great. The only thing that surprised me was that I thought Keon Lattimore looked real good. I know theyre stacked at RB - by the way Corey, whenever we go head to head in fantasy this yr, you should bench your team and give me a win because taking Portis over Barber was a gift for you..it was my first draft of the year (had about 5 since then), and wasnt prepared/up to date at all..u stole MBIII - but I thought Lattimore looked very good.

I had an early birthday present today, I got the Sunday Ticket for FREE basically  ;D

Ive heard of DirecTV being very customer friendly, so I call them up. Ive only personally had DTV for 5 months, and 'tell' them I was considering getting the ticket but 290$ sounded ridiculous. I follow it with the deal they have where new customers get it free pretty much

The girl Im talkin to (who sounded cool from the get-go and I could actually understand everything she said), proceded with this as I kept pushing her:

Decreasing my 5 payments for Sunday Ticket from 74.99 to 57.99 (85$ saved)

Giving me free DVR for a year (72$ saved)

Taking 18$ off/month for a year (216$ saved)

The Ticket costs = 290$

$$$ I just saved  = 373$

So basically I just got Sunday Ticket for free, and have to pay 83$ less over the next year than I should of  ;D ;D ;D

God damn, that's a great deal! And yeah, they are super-friendly. My wife got all kinds of free shit when we switched to them from Comcast a few years ago. They also gave her some pretty sweet deals when she called to order the Sunday Ticket a few weeks ago.

Oh, and I don't have Barber. I wish like hell that I did. I ended up with McGahee and Grant as my starters, neither or which are at 100%. McGahee is still questionable for tomorrows game.   :-/
My back-ups are Kevin Faulk, who is suspended for the first game and Tim Castille, which was totally a Homer pick, but I did it anyway because there wasn't much left when I snagged him.

QuoteI hope my Dolphins can at least make it back to.500 this season.

yes i hope so too, i watched them last night, so pissed that they lost- but they looked pretty sharp towards the end, where was that two-headed running monster we kept hearing about?
Oh I'll never say I knew you, but my heart can't wait to meet you on the other side

Yep.
Brady = out for season
Croyle = out 2 to 4 weeks
V Young = out 2-4 weeks

It was a rough day for some QBs, but a great day for others.

Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco looked impressive in their starts as rookies. Romo and Favre were impressive as well... and McNabb! Who'da thunk it?  :D

Taterbug

Looks like I am gonna have to add a Matt Forte jersey to my closet with my Curtis Enis, Rashaam Salaam and  Cedric Benson jerseys. We won't even get into the Q.B  jerseys I have from the bears.  I had to rent a storage unit  for those.

GO BEARS !!!!!!!

Quotenice is that a football mace?

I thought it was a trolling motor

Vince Young was sulking on the sidelines after his 2nd interception, before he got hurt. Pretty weird to see him do that.

Taterbug

Wow,   the fridge made G.I. Joe status.  He looks to happy, like he's lookin at a ham sandwich.  He could eat an apple thru a tennis racket with those teeth.

Fucking Raiders, that was a joke. I know Russell needs time, but the fucking receivers were pitiful, and the defensive secondary was disgusting. The whole day sucked yesterday, worked till 8:30, and get home to see that shit. Fuck. >:(
