Our conservative radio guy here in Nashville Steve Gill (who still calls Obama by his middle name Hussein, b/c it's his middle name) agreed with a caller today that Obama bowing to the Saudi King was a signal for a muslim uprising and that's why the US freighter was seized by Somali pirates. I can't make this shit up. Only a couple of years until we're all Koran loving Communists. God (Allah?) help us.  Good night.

Sounds like a pretty entertaining show, Tracy.

I think it's pretty obvious Obama bowed to the king. Not the proper thing to do as President, but it's not as big a deal as people make it, either. I certainly didn't interpret the rookie mistake as a secret message to the Islam Nation Pirate Navy to launch increased attacks on random tugboats headed to Kenya or wherever.

What's annoying to me is the fact that folks in the administration are actually denying he bowed.  

I'd say Bush clasping hands and strolling around with the king a year or two ago was just about on par with Obama bowing to him, in terms of how embarrassing it is to me, personally.

Can't say that I've heard too many educated comments coming from his detractors, most of the comments I run across in my day are like this, either something to do with his race or name, not too much about anything of real importance

The bow was more dignified than having to perform an akward looking dance.

When Obama stands and speaks I tend to forget the bow.
