Wow! What a career! I remember watching the Naked Gun movies as a kid and wondering how could this guy be so serious. At times he seemed completely oblivious to his surroundings. Haha one of a kind!
The time is near, to come forward with whatever killed your spark.

Really sad. Leslie is a comic icon and he and his family are rooted in the fabric of Canada. Leslie was in the Royal Canadian Air Force (he served in WWII), his father was a constable in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and his brother was the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada (comparable to a US vice-president). Leslie actually grew up 200 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle.

I love his comedies, but you should all check out some of Leslie's more serious movies such as the awesome Forbidden Planet, Poseidon Adventure, Prom Night (low-budget slasher flick with a very young Jamie Lee Curtis), Creepshow and his TV work with Disney (I'm partial to Swamp Fox).

RIP Leslie.  You made me laugh a lot. :)
