Apparently my DVR schmucked up and I missed 2 episodes (I think #5 and #11), but I FINALLY watched all 11 episodes back to back of Justified last night. Pilot was awesome IMO, but the show dropped off in the middle of the season, episodes 2-6, with the one with Alan Ruck being the only one I really liked. Then again, those episodes kept me interested enough to find out how the Walton Goggins story progressed by watching the whole season back to back. Thought it picked up with the 7th episode where the local cop was connected with Miami, and then from the 8th episode on (hostage one) I thought the storyline and action was as consistent as the first episode in terms of entertainment and quality. Enjoyed the subplot with his ex's husband. Really liked the vigilante angle they kind of switched up and gave Goggins after he got out of jail and Im very happy they didnt kill him off. Still not totally sure they'll keep as a bible loving guy who kills people bad for society though.

If this show lasts more than 3 seasons, I think theyre going to have to move Raylan out of KY and to another city as I dont think theyll be able to keep it interesting in the town he's in now for longer than that since only so much can happen there (and partially why I think there was that lull was episode 2-6). I hope they really focus on Goggins character in season 2 and into season 3, but I think the show might be best served to relocate Raylan and get him a new primary antagonist after that. I tend to prefer shows with a continuous storyline and I definitely thought this show was strongest when it went with that and was why the last 5-6 episodes were so strong.

The end of civilization as we know it!

All the elevator Buttons
Oh so Incredibly High
I stand today for the midget
Half the size of a regular Guy

Let Me Hold You Little Man
As the parade passes by
Let Me Hold You Little man
We'll make believe you can fly

You shout for me to put you down
But I'm marching today for your cause
I'm bangin' the drum
Your big day will come
When they remake the wizard of Oz

Let Me Hold You Midget Man
We'll pretend that you're flyin in space
Let Me Hold You Little Man
So the dog will stop licking your face

Little Shoes, Little Pants
Little Song, Little Dance
Little Heart, Little Mind
But your rights are as big as mine

Na, Na-Na-Na, Na-Na-Na-Na
Na-Na Na Na-Na Na Na
Thank God I'm Tall
I won't let you fall
We're all midget, one and for all
Thank God I'm Tall
I won't let you fall
We're all midget, and some are just small

Stand Up For The Little People!

River Monsters is the shit. Almost makes me not want to wade in the streams around here when Im fishing because Im afraid some alligator gar or tiger fish is going to rip me up.

That Pit Boss show does look funny. Danger Doom's Old School Rules is playing in the background too so you know its legit.

Yes!  That reminds me.  I've got to get my Lucky Louie DVDs back from my Dad.  He is a very funny guy.  I especially like his take of being a dad to daughters.

I didn't catch it, was it any good? Louis CK is pretty damn funny. That Last Comic Standing bit was pretty funny.

Since folks are talking comedy, has everyone seen this...

the louis show was hilarious.  there were a couple of times when I was damn near in tears.  I thought both episodes were pretty funny.

he's by far the funniest comedian I've ever seen in person.

So, I put the girls to bed (3 daughters- 2, 6, 8) and turned on the tube.  Its still on the last channel the girls were watching and its the middle of an episode of Phineas and Ferb.  They're doing one of their many awesome songs.

What a hilarious show!  Well written, funny as shit, impressive cultural, philosophical, and scientific references.  And the original songs on this show are great.  I'm hoping for a CD to come out!

If you don't have kids, check it out.  If you do, you probably already know its one of the best shows hip parents can watch with their offspring.

Here's the complete episode.  The song starts at the 4:00 mark.  Check out Phineas with the flyin' V around 5:05.

Phineas and Ferb IS pretty damn clever.  Reminds of Pinky and The Brain sometimes.  I used to love that show.

Watched Louie last night.   Hilarious.   That's a special brand of comedy he's got going there.

Yeah, thought both episodes of Louie were funny. Not sure Id call it a good show actually, but funny nonetheless. Amazing what you can get away with on FX

So there were two episodes of Louie on Tuesday?  I can't find it online and FX isn't making episodes available until July 8.  There is a 30 minute repeat on Sunday night.  Hmm..

Yeah, there was the "pilot" and I think the other one was called "poker game/divorce".....on another site I frequent, a lot of people seemed to think the 2nd was a lot better but I thought both were good.

Wish I would have started this from the beginning.  I was just listening to them interview the creator on npr at lunch.  Guess I'll have to rent it someday when I have extra time.  Hopefully that happens before i die.

So good.  Settling in with some back-to-back True Blood and Mad Men is such a satisfying end to a Sunday funday.

True Blood finally started getting good last night.  Still my favorite show but the first few episodes were not quite as good as the last two year I thought.  But it looks to be heating up nicely!

On another subject, Treme started out kind of slow, but man when it was all said and done, I really really enjoyed that show.

I've been meaning to do a Treme marathon.  I liked it but was always distracted when it was on.  Maybe this weekend.
