Maybe we'll get a cameo from the boys.  They could play some methheads running a backwoods lab.  Good PR for the new album. ;D

Maybe they could get Ruckus to be a recurring fixture in the Harlan County bar band

Did anyone see the roast of Donald Trump last night?  There were some good jabs, for sure.  The Situation was just AWFUL.  He was getting booed his jokes were so lame.  I mean, it basically went how I imagined it would, but it was pretty awkward.  He was actually inviting Jeff Ross to come take over for him.  And then Trump said at the end something about how he was going to the the best president of all time  ::)
We could.

Paulie, I highly recommend Breaking Bad.  Its very well written and acted, has a compelling story line, great characters, and the full spectrum of mood- from comedy to tragedy and everything in between.  As a high school science teacher, I feel more connected to Walt than some, though we see very little of him in the classroom.  One of my favorite shows, up there with Hill Street Blues, The Shield, and Nip/Tuck (a guilty pleasure).  Boardwalk Empire was quite good, too.

Thanks for the Breaking Bad tip off Johnny. It's absolutely superb. My wife is totally hooked too. We're coming towards the final three episodes of Season 2, and I'm now mightily concerned that Season 3 hasn't been released in the UK yet!

Saul Goodman is my new hero!

US tv has often got a bad press in the past but the sort of stuff I have picked up from the people on this forum pisses all over the crap they produce in this country. I find it hard to choose between The Wire, Deadwood, The Sopranos etc., and Breaking Bad is getting close to them in my opinion.

Glad you had a chance to see Breaking Bad.  Everyone I know who starts watching gets hooked.  Prepare for an intense finale to S2.  There has been foreshadowing in the opening of each episode throughout the season.

Yeah the foreshadowing is driving me nuts!!!!!

I love Breaking Bad, only watched it recently.  Up there with the Wire for sure.

In the first two seasons, the opening sequence used to frustrate me as well.  After the season 2 finale, I've decided its worth it.  I want to say more but since some of you are at different places in the show, I'll keep quiet.

So when I'm on the treadmill I watch travel shows like Samatha Brown and Anthony Bourdain. I was thinking how there needs to be a travel show about a person who doesn't travel, but goes to cool place. The title of the show would be The Ignorant Traveler. Then the next day I found out there's a show called An Idiot Aboard produced by Ricky Gervais. Watched it, and it's pretty damn funny.

Hey Paulie Walnuts!  You finish Breaking Bad second season yet?

Looks like Season 4 is delayed to July 2011, so it may return at the same time as Season 2 of The Walking Dead.  Can't wait!

Yep, we finished it. Finally got to the reason for the foreshadowing......which I have to say I did find a little contrived and the least interesting part of the story. I won't give anything away but I thought that finale took the attention away from reality a little. I thought it was a little grandiose. It's a minor criticism though.

For me the two amazing parts were the scene where Walt enters Jesse's house and makes the monumental decision, and when Skyler makes her decision and explains her thoughts to him. For me, that's where The Wire would have felt comfortable ending a season.....quite quietly and understated.

Don't get me tempted by Season 4 yet........we are still waiting for 3 to be released over here - it's a joke! I read a few comments on Amazon that 3 is even better than 2 so I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Oh, I fully agree with the "contrived" comment.  I just found it quite shocking, not at all where I thought the foreshadowing was taking us.

To avoid spoilers, perhaps we'll create a unique thread just for Breaking Bad, so you can avoid it.

Anyone into Archer?

New season of Louie is coming.

Both are FX shows.

Also intrigued by Wilfred, coming to FX in June.

no breaking bad until July?!?! damn.  Paulie season 3 is some of the best tv in history without a doubt.  It's going to blow you away and you'll forget that season 2 finale even happened.  Walking Dead->Breaking Bad = a true night of television.
