I'd like to complain about the lack of voters in the Jacket Bracket Attack. Where are all of you? Only eight last round. The preliminary rounds had way more than that, and a lot of those songs were much more obscure.

I have pretty much everything the band have done but have to confess that I don't play the early recordings/demos/obscure stuff that much & therefore didn't think it would be fair for me to vote.
But I'll come back in for the last few rounds (how many are left?) if that's OK?

When I moved out of my duplex in the summer of 2007, my friend, who doubled as roommate, gave me a small orange tree that he had grown from a seed from an orange that my Grandparents had sent us from Florida the winter prior.  I was incredibly touched by this gift and I've been sad to see it not grow much the entire time I've had it.  Recently it was looking like it was on the verge of death.  However, yesterday when I looked at it, there was new growth all over the top of it!  More growth than I've ever seen on it before, ever!  

I think it heard that it's moving south and it got excited.

Fuck. Another day like today, I'm switching from Guinness and Vodka to crack or herione. I have never wanted to quit my job or go hurt someone as much as I did today. Probably a good thing my boss wasn't there. I would have yelled and probably try to fire her.  :-/

Another weird one. Not really sure where to put this, but I think we had a dreams thing in here the other day, so I'll post mine.

Last night I went to sleep for a little while and had this dream that I had asked my friend Caroline to crack my back (I have this weird crick next to my right shoulder blade that just needs someone to stand on it). But anyways, she does and that's awesome, but then she rubs my back and it's not a sexual thing at all, but that kind of touch that's absolutely electric because of all the love encapsulated in it. That kind of thrilling, first time you get close to someone feeling. Don't know how to describe it any better than that it sends electric goosebumps and flutters through you because of the way you'd hoped someone would know how to get close to you, and then there it is. And I guess we fell asleep right there or something. I briefly remember a next day, but then was woken up far too early by an intense need to pee.

Commence empty, hopeless romantic feelings for the rest of the day. I wish that would mean something. Six days til she makes her way to Athens. I have no idea if I should even wonder about expecting anything, but that dream screws with my head so badly.

You are correct Tom, there is no better feeling then that. Just go with the flow. If anything was destined to happen, it will so just be cool, relax, and enjoy.

45 minutes of sleep spent on dreams I woke up angry from. Good friends and old girlfriends and trying to keep these things secret make for an angry Tom. I think my body was trying to wake me up.
