rollingstone. they pissed me off again. got the new issue in the mail, panic at the disco on the cover. why? rollingstone really needs to focus on music, not what mtv thinks is music. although they did mention MMJ a couple time in the issue.  rollingstone, is the reason why i bought my first mmj cd.  but thats all they have going for them.

Local radio station had its old morning show (which actually was pretty funny) replaced by some national one that sucks. I now have nothing to listen to in the morning  >:(

my fucking roommate. i just got guitar hero last night. i get home from work, i play for maybe 30 minutes. stop cause i wanted hints from red, he takes over the game. i was gone for maybe 25 minutes. he  played the whole time i was at school and at work. you gotta understand this guy. he's the same guy who will be up till 8 in morning playing solcom in his room swearing up a storm. my other roommate has to wear ear plugs while he sleeps cause he is that loud. also he'll take a nap from 8am till 10am just so he can wake up cause his solcom  buddies are getting up in boston. (we live in minnesota)  he has his own ps2 and tv that he plays on. why does he have to play on mine? i stayed in my room the whole night. i get up to brush my teeth cause after this message  i'm going to bed. then he stops playing and goes to his room to play solcom. that asshole. i know its just a game, but you sit in your room the whole night, a guy gets a little worked up'd. i was seriously thinking about taking that guitar away from him and hitting him in the face with the guitar and my fist.  but like mike brady always said, "never go to bed mad." ....fuck mike brady.

It would certainly seem that way right now. My students are all getting older (i guess that happens to kids sometimes?) & want later classes, which means I won't be finishing work until 8 or 9.
Saturdays & Sundays are still safe.
I know I should count myself lucky for having a good job but I sure do love live music (who here doesn't?)

i do the news and blah blah blah whatnot all morning, and the audacity of some people just never ceases to amaze me.

when i read the high school sports scores, i try to alternate who is "first" with each of the five newscasts. (once i'll read all the boys team's scores, then the girls, so on and so forth)...

well, this douchebag just called and was all, "why you readin them girls scores first? boys go first, honey (yeah, this asshat called me honey. then he sort of did this condescending laugh which pissed me off even more). you think you can remember that? say it with me, honey: boys go first."

what a dick. if i could, i would have cock-punched him and been like, "well, i would have punched your wife, but... boys go first."

I hate people like that. In SC we have people who persist in selling bumper stickers that say The South Shall Rise Again! On top of that, they refuse to take down the confederate flag in Columbia. There are too many rednecks down here...

Rollin Stone basically blows--they have been sending me copies since I bought tickets to a show last year (some promotion with Tickethun) and I basically look at the charts and see whos putting music out then throw it away.

I don't like most of Skynard's stuff. MMJ are not Skynard. There will be Skynards for years to come, but there will never be another Jacket. And can MMJ accurately be called "Southern" Rock? Kentucky is, for me, pretty far north.
