Sorry, meg...there's no quick cure for when the blues hit like that. Talking helps a little. Laughing helps a lot. And reminding yourself over and over of all the great things you've done in the last week/month/year can ease things a bit.

thanks. y'all are the best.

i started taking a ssri last year. it has helped tremendously. i just hate having these occasional "down" periods. i hate not being able to pinpoint what is making me feel so despondent.

Meg,
Glad to hear the ssri's are helping.  I took them for 3-4 months a few years back...weren't sure if they were helping or just numbing me and I quit them, probably too soon.  But good to hear they're helping you.

Just here to vent:
1)  My daily driver car is on its last legs...never had a car payment before...can't wait!   :P
2)  My Dog is friggin' crazy.  The old owner called her Crazy Daisy and I'm finding out why...she destroys shit.  That's why they got rid of her.  She hasn't ruined anything super-valuable yet, but it's getting annoying.  So far she's chewed (that I can remember):  credit cards, wallet, DVD case, boxing gloves, darts...I think that's it.  The rest was just trash.  Need to get her trained (somehow).
3)  My bank account is looking sad.
4)  My roommate is probably going to move out, making my bills double.
5)  I don't really have the money to fix up my Firebird right now.  Haven't driven it since last October  :(
We could.

Ok the sleep issue I've had in the past has reared its ugly head again. Waking up every hour throughout the night. Sometimes it's to take a ginormous waz, other times its because I'm paranoid I overslept and wake up to stare at the clock. Dammit. Doesn't help I get up so early but going on very little sleep this week and the heat has finally caught up to me.

megalicious

I am the opposite, mjk. I fell asleep at 9:30 last night and was out cold until 7 this morning. I barely even woke up when Will left for work at 5. I am constantly exhausted. It's as if I can never get enough sleep. I don't know why.

And I am totally OCD about the alarm clock. I set and check that bitch at least five times before I go to bed... well, more like 6 b/c I have this wierd thing about odd numbers.

I check it multiple times and when I startle myself awake I check it again. Either I need to drink more and pass out or I need a good shag before bed.

I have been pretty irregular lately.  You know you planned your day wrong when you have to take a 4:00 am dump.

Is it ever TMI here? It never has been before. And for the record, it's usually a 5AM here. About 2 miles into my morning run  :embarassed:

Ok, your right about TMI.  Maybe I should concentrate more while in the act of evacuating instead of facebooking until my legs fall asleep.

Dude, Tater.  I hear ya about the legs falling asleep.  Usually it's Facebook or Angry Birds or Doodle Jump for me.

Can I just say my job really, really blows.  This morning I had to hear about why I got a 0% raise this year...but there's "money on the table" if I work for it...a great big 3% out there waiting for me, whoopee!  I work for a big laboratory equipment manufacturer (probably the biggest).  We make water purification equipment, which we sell worldwide.  This afternoon, I am THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WORLD TAKING CALLS ON THIS EQUIPMENT.  For a $12 billion company.  And we're not talking about widgets here.  We're talking about equipment that is used in hospitals, by pharmaceutical companies, research labs.  Kinda scary that our water equipment line has been around since the 1800's but that our coporate talking heads have slowly-but-surely gotten rid of all the talented people who helped build that company...well, at least the ones who made too much money or wouldn't pick up their life and move to follow a money-grubbing, disloyal, life-sucking employer.  But that great big 3% is waiting for me, if I just work a little harder.  F-off.  Have fun falling on your face when your entire tech support department quits you greedy a-holes.  The sad thing is I could say SOOO much more.   :-X
We could.

I feel your pain brother.

I have been dealing with some health problems lately, and it blows. It's scary.

Spent 7 hours yesterday mowing these HUGE hills behind our house.  Almost cut my foot off (seriously).  My landlord wants us (my roommate and I) to pay for the rental of the mower ($53.00).  I did the work, so I figured my roommate would have no problem at least going halfsies on the $53...nope.  She refuses to pay anything.  Now I have to feel awkward telling my landlord that I'll be paying my half.  Feel like I'm ratting her out...ridiculous she won't pay $27 tho...I did all the work AND watched her dog while she was away for the weekend.   >:(

Geeeeez....... what is with roommates?!  That sucks, she definitely should take into account your dog-sitting and the work you did!  But is it going to be a repeat bill each time you need to rent a mower or something?  Because I'd say the landlord then needs to dish that cost out for his own property.  Or that should've been discussed going over the lease or something.....

My roommate (and his cousin who's been staying here, tho she's awesome!)  have both left, and I've been enjoying the place solo again.... and what do you know, the mysterious ANT and FRUIT FLY problems seem to have done cleared up in wake of their departure!  ::) ::)
