Alrighty, I scored some nice free tix to the O's/Red Sox game tonight.  Mahg33ta, Ophidio, Wolof, Easy and all you other Red Sox clowns, this is where the streak ends.  Starting pitching ERA under 1 over the last 9 games?!  Not anymore.

Let's Go O's! ::)

Good call Ruckus- you were right about the streak ending.   Want to make a wager on the outcome of tonight's game?

Hijack, but it involves a Boston team: Habs-Bruins Game 7 and I'm taking Boston 3-2.

Go Os tonight too!

It's quite easy to make brazen sports predictions on a music message board with nothing to lose.  I quite like it that way.  But if you must, I will indulge you.  What say you a double bourbon on the rocks next time I see you? ;)

I did not get a chance to respond to this in time, but had I seen it I would have taken you up on it.   Therefore in good conscience I owe you a double bourbon on the rocks, or substitute beverage of your choice.

Nice DUI, Lowe.
Kinda related story.  I run a fantasy league that includes two sidepots.  One is for having a player involved in a brawl at the mound (must own either the pitcher or the mound charging batter) and the other is for having a player either arrested or suspended for drugs.  My buddy is flipping out right now because he had Man Ram but because he retired before being suspended it didn't count.  He then proceeded to drop Lowe two days ago. ;D The sidepot is still alive!

Is anyone more surprised about the start of the Indians than I am?

After the season opener, watching Carmona get shelled by the ChiSox, I was thinking how long of a year it was going to be...  again!

Now, 18 wins later, they've broken the franchise record for wins in April by two freaking games and could tie the franchise record for the longest home win streak at 13 with a win today!

Now it's just a matter of keeping this pace up.

Incredible start hopefully they can keep it up, can you imagine that team with Sabathia, Lee, Martinez, etc.

Side note:  My Nats are .500 can't complain!

Yeah, that would be nice, however, many of the Indians' key contributors so far this season are products of the trades made for CC, Lee and Martinez.

Masterson, who is arguably Cleveland's best starter was acquired in the Martinez trade from Boston.  Another starter (although now on the 15 day DL) is Carlos Carrasco who came over in the Lee trade.  Our closer, Chris Perez, was a key piece in the trade of Westbrook to the Cards.  And Matt LaPorta (starting 1B) and Michael Brantley (started the season at the lead-off spot and CF until Sizemore's return) are nice young players acquired from Milwaukee in the CC trade.

Trust me.  There were a LOT of grumblings (myself included) about what seemed like a lack of return when those trades initially went down.  But, now the Indians are beginning to see the fruits of those trades.  And a year earlier than expected to boot!   8)

Great point.  Lots of youth i didn't realize how young they were until I just looked over their roster.  27.7 average age that's ridiculous.

Happy belated birthday too!
