Nice shots, especially of the Aspens.  The contrast in those shots is really neat.  Further proof that Colorado is just plain awesome.

As if further proof was needed!  I needs to get my ass back to Colorado!

So the talk about travelin (and my own general constant daydreaming) has nudged me toward sharin a couple prized moments on my own sojourn...

Here's from the top of Lembert Dome, out in ye olde Yosemite... I ditched my pack long before I realized there were more than 3 false "summits" :-X



And here's to being a woodnymph (taken in the Old Growth redwood forest just north of Eureka CA)....... in awe..... just moments before I danced around like a headcase...

I do recommend the shirt for anyone who may have been pondering a purchase, it's not a real heavy cotton, like some that nearly scratch yr skin off... it's soft as down 8-)[/size]

nice pics woodnymph....Humboldt is my old stomping ground, Humboldt State grad!  And now I currently live just a hop and a skip away from Yosemite...although I'm closer to Sequoia Nat'l Park.  Come see the giant Sequoias when you get a chance.  Amazing stuff.

Thanks wf!! Aye the day when I say *I* live so close to such parks!! I'd say I'm "thinking about moving out there this January/early spring," but I have definitely been saying the same exact thing for the greater part of 4 years or so now  :-X  It is, however, slowly, slowly, in the works I think.

There's just this feeling I get, when I look, to the West... and my spirit is crying for leaving.....  :P Giant Sequoias are on the List of Lists!! 2011 will likely bring those into my life, or me into theirs!

But anywho thanks for the reply, and enjoy the nearness of those parks for me please!  ;D

The trees really were magnificent.  Living in the urban sprawl of Fort Lauderdale/Miami, I really don't get out into nature often, so this vacation was a real treat.
We literally spent multiple days and multiple hours just wandering through those aspen trees.  Lots of the trees have those EYE style markings on them, and its just a really neat scene.

While I love the excitement and energy of living in South Florida, after taking a trip like this, it really makes me jealous of those who get to live in more relaxed and scenic places.

One of the ladies at work had a son in the race also, and was able to snatch this of me about 1/2 mile from the finish. If it looks like I'm dead, it's cuz I am at that point.



Me at home. I had to throw a hat on as all of my hair was standing up at that point due to the wind and salt and things. I looked like a cast off from Beetlejuice.
