Here is my official letter of apology:

I have no words for this kind of disappointment.

Here's the reason, and it's terrible. I had an itch like an ingrown hair in my left side of the upper lip and decided to pull a hair to help fix it. Well one hair didn't fix it, and I unconsciously kept pulling until i realized what I was doing after a while and came to the sudden knowledge that I had to have done some serious damage. I went upstairs and sure enough there was a seriously thin patch on the left side of the upper lip. If you know me, you know what makes my beard is my moustache. Without that, I wouldn't feel confident growing the rest. And truly, with that kind of dent made in it, I felt as if I had no business wearing it proudly anymore, and set to scissors in order to try and fix it. That turned into this.

I am so very sorry. It will be grown back as promptly as possible after I shave my entire face tomorrow. As I said before, there are no words for this kind of disappointment. In any kind of hardship you learn what's most valuable to you. Yes, indeed, my beard is valuable to me, but I definitely now know not to place as much value as I have in it, because such a thing can so quickly be laid to waste. The same is true of the lives we might so easily take for granted. My life is far more than my beard, and while I wore it proudly, I will now learn to live with a bare face until my beard stretches itself down my chest once more.

And trust me when I say, "I will no longer pull hairs."

Again, I'm sorry. If only to myself and the monster of a beard that I will have to take care of in the morning. Sheesh, what a night.

i absolutely love your hair color! is that a rabbit behind you in the pic? sorry it's a little fuzzy (bad pun)- can't tell what it is.
Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.

bug

Thanks :)  That "rabbit" is actually my dog, Will.  He's a pekingese but I keep his hair cut short.

Woops, sorry Will! I can now see that you are a super cute dog, just in the dark you seemed bunnyish.
