a case or two?  I feel like I have to break the bank to get a sixer at 18 bucks a six pack.

Tower: which liquor barn is filling growlers of hopslam?

Nooo...no no no.  A case or so.  At this point, I don't think I'd be able to find 2 cases around here.  I'm thinking if I find 2 or 3 six packs, that would be fine.  I think I paid $14 for the six I bought the other day, which is a little steep.  But, I rationalize the spending  :)  6 beers at Parliament Funkadelic this weekend will easily cost me $40, so the Hopslam is a savings.  ;)

QuoteThe growler of Hopslam I shared with my buddy was real...and it was fantastic!
It is! I just bought a case + a six a couple of days ago and plan on savoring each and every one. I even got a little bit of a citrus twinge from it this time. Seems to be so complex you can make a new discovery each and every time if you look for it. And as far as the price is concerned at roughly $3 a bottle, consider what you pay in bar prices these days for "headache in a cup" watered down macro-brew.

yes, but you can rationalize this because youre paying more for the "atmosphere"

Sunny

I've never had a real black & tan, only that pre-mixed stuff like Saranac.  :(

I usually go the Guinness/Smithwicks route... Here is an interesting FAQ from Guinness:

With this being all the rage around here, I really wanted to get a case, but there was no way I was going to drop 60$+tax on a case of brew.

I cant wait for the day I live in a state where I can get a sixer of this stuff

Never heard if this Magic Hat selection. I like everything Ive tried that they make (which is just about everything) except Im not sure Ive ever had 1 of their mystery beers/seasonals that were any good. All of those are barely drinkable, which is why I never get a Magic Hat variety pack anymore, its always either #9 or Circus Boy

Found a newbie today. Sierra Nevada Torpedo extra IPA. VERY nice and an affordable price as well with all the $ I have spent on Slam recently.  ;)

I tried Sierra Nevada Torpedo at a beer festival that I go to every year in Atlanta and really enjoyed it.  I believe that it may be a seasonal or maybe a test beer... I cannot buy it locally, but wish I could.  I really love Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but the Torpedo just has that extra jolt of hops!  I would love a side-by-side tasting of HopSlam vs. Torpedo!!!  What do you think TEO?

Shoot, let's set up about 6-8 of our favorites and have a tasting party!  :)

I had a Magic Hat Circus Boy last night.  It's a Hefeweizen brewed with lemongrass.  Definitely interesting...next time I'll try it with a slice of lemon.
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires
