QuoteFound a newbie today. Sierra Nevada Torpedo extra IPA. VERY nice and an affordable price as well with all the $ I have spent on Slam recently.  ;)

I'd love to get my hands on some of that.  Haven't seen it around my neck of the woods.  What part of the country are you in TEO?

okay. im from mississippi, and i know there are a few of you here who are also from mississippi, or at least lived here at one time. i dont know if you've heard of or tried any of lazy magnolia's products but i have to say that they do a pretty darn good job of brewing up a fine product. im not sure how easy it will be to find this product outside of mississippi but if you can, id say go for it. i know i enjoyed their "indian summer" a good bit. maybe not the best of beers, but definitely worth a mention here.

Not too far from me, relatively speaking.  I'll have to see if one or more of our local brew stores can get this in.  They are usually pretty accomodating when possible.
Yes, I was at the Columbus show, with my wife and four others.  You drive over for that one?

Picked up a bomber of Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid today.  Was expecting a really biting, bitter beer (102 IBUs), but this wasn't very extreme.  It was actually fairly refreshing.  According to the label, they're using 5 lbs. of hops per barrel.  The hop oils and essences are extracted and then added intravenously to the wort.  It's just shy of 8% alcohol.

Something's definitely different with this beer -- in a good way.  Very flavorful and drinkable.  I think I paid $4.30 or so for it and am satisfied.  Would definitely order this one if I saw it on tap.

Picked up a variety pack of Sam Adams. Normally not a big SA fan but these intrigued me. Trying the Black Lagar. FanFUCKINGTastic. If you like stouts this is really good.

Going to a beer and cheese event tonight.  I'm calling it beer school.  It's being put on by Dog Fish.  I'm not a Dogfish fan, so I'm hoping to get a better appreciation of their beer and some good cheese.  :)

My friends have told me that what I'm going to get is constipation and a hangover.  ;D  :)

I had lots of Mill Street Tankhouse pints night at a local Scotish pub in Tranna (Toronto). If any of you foreigners cross the border, try picking up a 2-4 of these dark pale ales (BTW, that's not my hand):

I was just at the Beer Sellar last weekend before the Blitzen Trapper show.  I go there every time I'm in Nashville.    Another great place is the Flying Saucer.

Plus, I love the Beer Sellar slogan: '100 Bottles, 50 Taps, And 1 Bitchin' Jukebox'

Found a Beer, Wine, and Spirits store while my daughter was at a birthday party. I walked in and seriously got misty eyed. It was heaven on earth for me. Picked up several Samuel Smith pints and a sixer of Old Speckled Hen. The folks at Friar Tucks Beverages have a new, loyal customer. There were some much to choose from.

I'm officially crazy for Kronenbourg 1664 (and cute waitresses).

Try Black Oak Pale Ale if you can get it in Saskatchewan Beer Stores.

My favourite beers are: Tankhouse, Kronenbourg, Black Oak Pale, White Tail (Kingston Brew Pub), St-Ambroise Pale Ale (from McCauslin Brewing in Montreal). I think you'll like them all, but they may be hard to get.

anyone see this new Miller Lite commercial where instead of having some coach press conference or some other gimmick, they just talk about the quality of their beer?

they say how they add hops 3 different times during brewing? ReALlY?!?!?

If I didnt know any better, I wouldve guessed they threw hops out of the equation all together
