I generally detest New Belgian as they all taste the same, except their Tripple with corriander, which is delicious. I do like several of their Lips of Faith. Coco Mole is insanely good. The Clutch collaboration is excellent. They also make one with with prickly pear that apparently tastes like orange blossom.

Still can't get New Belgium brews in Ohio?!   >:(  Maybe this should be under the 'Current Complaints' thread...  8)

I'm usually not too big on most of their brews but I do love me some Ranger.

And mjk, I might just have to go out and get me some Sammy Smiths now that you brought it up.  Like Ruckus, it might be even longer for me since I've had some of that nectar.

I agree that new Belgium tends to be overrated but I do like some of their brews, especially motheship wit and ranger.

Happy Bday Jaimoe!  Hope it's a good one at the pub

Nice call on the Sammies MJK.  I probably haven't had one since around 2000 ;D  I had me a Founders Centennial in Philly this weekend which was great.  We don't get Bell's or Founders in MD but get a couple of smaller breweries from Michigan so it was nice to try some.

Has anyone else had New Belgium's La Folie sour brown ale from their Lips of Faith Series?  I'm not a biggest New Belgium guy but this one is special.  I can't recommend it enough.  It's delicious.  I'm on a sour kick so also recommend Petrus Pale Ale if you can get your hands on it.  The name is deceiving because it is much more a sour than any Pale Ale taste.

Word on the La Folie.  New Belgium's whole sour program is outstanding.  If you can get your hands on some Blackberry Love - do that.  I'd heard somewhere that they were going to bottle it but I haven't seen it yet.  That Petrus is fantastic as well.  Almost had some barleywine tendencies if I'm remembering correctly.

McAuslan is my go-to for oatmeal stouts.  On nitro?  Sweet jebus.

I know nothing about beer but I was at Terrapin Brewery down in Athens last weekend and really liked the Terrapin Rye. I tasted a bunch of different ones but so far, that's the only one I liked a lot.
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

My local beer store is selling the 750ml's of 75 minute IPA by Dogfish Head. Can't wait to grab one when i get off work!

I'm not sure we're talking about the same beer with the barley wine tendencies.  It's the Petrus Aged Pale Ale.

Oh we are.  I remember enjoying it, entirely possible I'm misremembering how it tasted, though.

KBS is VERY hard to get in areas. I had a 4 pack set aside for me and the store sold it. Thankfully my hook up is giving me a few bottles from his private stash.

nah son, the BOX.  jesus christ mjk you're going to give me an aneurism.  I'm sure I'd notice it I guess if it says KBS in big letter.  I'll have to keep a look out for it.  one day my taste buds shall tingle.

Sticky- Try Bell's Double Cream Stout. It's my favorite of theirs. And yes, hit their Brown Ale. It's better than Newcastle.

had the double cream stout tonight, reminds me a lot of dogfish head indian brown ale.  both great.  double cream is a little less potent than I'd like.   but delicious nonetheless.
