Just watched Dinner Rush..

Very entertaining a movie that takes place in a TriBeCa Italian restuarant for the whole movie. Only actors I recognized were Danny Aiello, who owns the restaurant, and John Corbett had a small role, but the acting was good and it definitely felt like you were watching an actual restaurant (it might sound boring, but its not)

It won a few awards for audience favorite at film festivals when it came out....decided to watch it because of that and the reviews I read and it didnt disappoint

QuoteI probably should see Before Sunset as I loved Before Sunrise
you certainly should!  i think it's the better of the two, even though i prefer to think of them as a single entity.  ethan hawke's character in those two films has had more of an effect on my life than most non-fictional people, dead or alive...
#1 and #2 in my Netflix queue.
siiiiiigh. Forgot how great Before Sunset is. I want to be Ethan Hawke from this movie.

paths of glory - certainly one of the most powerful films i've ever watched.  tragic and horrifying.  kirk douglas was excellent.  that last scene (in the bar) was something else.

Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels. Had to throw on the head phones as the wife doesn't like testosterone driven man films such as this.

One of the best anti-war films. Douglas was indeed excellent as was the rest of the cast made up of quality actors. One of Kubrick's greatest statements.

I was really tired of Will Ferrell for awhile. Watched a half hour of Talladega Nights and nothing else of his since. My brother convinced me to watch it and I gotta admit, it cracked me up a few times.

I liked Talladega Nights, but Blades of Glory and Semi-Pro were both terrible, and if had anything else come out in that time frame that I cant think of, it sucked too (except for Stranger Than Fiction)

Step Brothers was great though.

Resurrecting the Champ

Solid movie where Josh Hartnett is a struggling Denver sports writer and discovers former heavyweight title contender Battlin' Bob Satterfield is a homeless man there. Decides to write a story about Satterfield and his legacy. Samuel L Jackson was great, and I know there are some Hartnett haters around, but I thought he was fine in this role and believable. Alan Alda and a hard to recognize Peter Coyote also help him out a little bit.

Didnt even know this was released outside of seeing a preview for it on some movie I rented, which surprises me considering the 2 name actors. Surprisingly good, though I think they over-do the drama at times.

Worth a rental, especially for fans of boxing

punk: attitude - great little documentary featuring so many amazing groups.  among other things, i fell a little more in love with jim jarmusch (he's seen television around 20 times!) and am now crushing quite hard on chrissie hynde.  and holy hell did suicide ever look like a terrifying/great live experience.

ps. i watched it on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XI85jPbcps

Gran Torino

Clint Eastwood is just the master.

While it stretches believability at times, who knew that a movie full of ethnic slurs could be so funny, charming and stirring?
