Hey Tracy, I work with his first cousin John. He looks very much like his cousin Gord, but he doesn't really like him too much and from some of the stories he told me, I don't blame him. However, we both agree on his importance in the folk realm and especially his well-earned Canadian icon status.

I saw him perform earlier this year. I can't believe he is still touring, he looked like death but put on an OK show all things considered.
