The Radiohead DVD that was just put out is awsome, I think its London '94 during the Bends tour.  Radiohead before they were Radiohead, they still had something to prove and hot damn if they didn't prove it.

But in all honesty my favorite DVD is a David Gilmour DVD, I think its from the Royal Albert Hall in either '02 or '03.  That man can play a mean guitar!

I'm gonna 2nd Spiritualized's Live at ROyal Albert Hall.  The 1st 4 tracks are purr bliss.  Honestly, they could have farted into the mic for 1.5 hours after the 1st 4 tracks, and I'd still love this cd.
What else.....
Greatful Dead's  Reckoning
King Diamond's In Concert 1987: Abigail
Bobby Conn's Live Classics Vol.1
Janes Addiction XXX album
The Coctails Live At Lounge Ax

As for videos
Sonic Youth's 1991: The Year Punk Broke
THe MMJ DVD - I KNOW it will be tops on my list
Wilco's I'm trying To break Your Heart - I know its not a LIVE DVD but still is anamazing film

Can't think of anything else right now.

that is really funny.  i was just planning to go back through this thread just to make sure i mentioned my ultimate love for spiritualized and see if i had missed anyone's agreement, so PapaJoeBear you're fantabulous.  this album sounds amazing no matter what state of mind, situation, etc.  i got it when it first came out back in my stoner days, and it sounds just as good today with me being clean and sober.  in fact, im not sure i could handle listening to it fucked up anymore.  there are rumours from the former band members that jason fucked around with the recording in studio after it was recorded, i dont really think so.  this is the sound of a perfect band playing perfect songs.  its not for the faint of heart though, it goes up and down in emotion, but never levels off in intensity.

Yeah, that cd was myh 2nd Siritualized cd. I had already had Ladies and Gentlemen We are Now Floating In Space.  I was heavily into the jam scene at the time, and didn't know what to expect. I was also heavily into ecstacy back then.  I think te 1st time I heard it Ilistened to it I was coming down pretty hard after a pretty strong roll.  This cd made me start rolling again.  Even now, many years removed from my drug days, when I listen to I feel like I dropped 3 pills of double stacked Mitsubishi's.  Mind melting, to say the least.

Yer that's a great DVD. The Eden project looks amazing doesn't it?
One the British newspapers described seeing a gig at Eden as the closest any of us will ever get to seeing a gig on the moon  :)
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Albums:
Wilco - Kicking Television
Pantera - Official Live: 101 Proof
Lamb of God - Killadelphia

DVDs:
Lamb of God - Killadelphia - Probably the best music dvd I own.  In between lots of the songs, it has parts of a tour documentary.  But it also gives you the option of just watching the concert.  The whole thing just flows really well.  I'd recommend it for any fan of heavy metal.

The Clash - Live At Shea Stadium
Neko Case - Live From Austin TX (DVD)
Johnny Cash - Live From Austin, TX (DVD)
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Taxman

The complete Monterey pop (DVD).

Including the complete sets by Otis Redding and Jimi Hendrix. It's pretty cool to have some live footage of some artists of which so little material exists (at least from that period), like the Buffalo Springfield.  8-)
I'm not trying to be mysterious about it, it's just that what I do is tough to explain.

One of the great docs, period.

BTW, SCTV did an incredible parody of Gimme Shelter back in the 80's. Instead of being about The Stones at Altamont, the SCTV skit was about Martin Short's albino lounge singer Jackie Rogers Jr. Get this, instead of using Hell's Angels as security, Jackie used Shiners. Jackie mimicked Mick throughout the ongoing skit too and ended up doing a lie-detector test with F. Lee Bailey regarding his sexuality.
