Pro: Vonnegut and Tom Waits references, among others.
Con: My favourite Saskatchewan band disbanded because of the members other projects, Library Voices being the main one.
Pro: When I saw them they covered "Unknown Legend".
Pro/Con: Too many members, but some cute girls...
Con: Spin thinks they're cool - http://www.spin.com/articles/three-undiscovered-bands-you-need-hear-now
Pro: That gent in the yellow is an excellent bartender.  My Mother and I are fans of his service.

I'll make my case for, and against, this band from Regina, you decide for me...

listen to Mates of State instead, I think that's who they sound like anyway. Plus, there's 1/5 the members. Having 10 people in your band is more like a marching band than a rock band. Do they march?

I agree. A band with 10 members all need matching  outfits....with hats
the fruit bats love makin' made all the kids cry

Also check out Via Audio if you're into bands like MoS and the one you posted.

If it helps--they're one of Chris Walla's favorite bands : )
Because if there's one thing that goes well with shooting zombies it's a Dolly Parton cover-el chode

Yup.  10+ members and you should really get robes like the Spree...

The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

I'm thinking that, from now on, everything that ever happens needs to eventually make its way back to Annie Clark...

Is it gay if I think that her hair is nothing short of incredible?

P.S. How freaking weird would it be if she caught wind of our board's small obsession with her pulchritude? I think that'd be really weird, to find out that a small community of people think that you're really damn beautiful. Like, hauntingly beautiful.

The 25-year-old is an avid tea drinker, used to hair model, and feels uncomfortable when people use the term, "let's pull the trigger on this."

Pretty sure that says "St. Vincent wants Kaley to nest in her hair", or something along those lines.

tomEisenbraun

Actually Kaley, I'm pretty sure that "misericordine caritatisque" is Sanskrit for Tom Eisenbraun and "potrono confide" is either "Will you marry me?" or uhh... best left to the imagination?

But dude, you could totally nest in that hair while we're...getting married?

You know what, I'd be okay with that.

So, I kinda (read: really) like their new song.  BUT THAT'S IT.

"Drinking Games" is the one.  Tell me it's a great song and I'm not blinded by quirkiness and SK-pride.  Please?
