the songs are great but just too long---'do you know what i mean' and 'stand by me'  especially--there is only one song on there i didn't like (magic pie) noel always rips on this album in interviews--like he has to apologize for it or something---i was wrapped up in their b sides by this time, though

I love everything about it! For me, it's an album full of overblown, excessive & self-indulgent masterpieces. It's the sound of a band drunk on their own success & (like you said) high on coke, with more money than sense & their head up their own arses! & that IMO, is what makes it so good!

Did you read that Noel has a solo album due later this year?

D'You Know What I Mean is a classic opening track & I love the closer of All Around The World followed by It's Getting Better Man & then the Reprise.

What that the same interview where he compared being an American and being British and ripped on crackwhore...I mean Amy Winehouse? I was cracking up reading that bit. Something to the effect the Brits have bad teeth but loads better fashion and music.

Go to Branson, MO area. Modern dentistry has not really hit that area so it's not just a British thing.

i just found out they're playing MSG on dec 17th w/ryan adams and i have an exam that night!! there's no way i'll get out in time. the test starts at 6:30 and goes for 3 hours.  :'(

Thanks for that! I was expecting something far worse, liked the guitar a lot...
