I saw him when I was waiting for Badu to start. He was on the top left stage in the VIP section. I couldn't stop staring.
Don't let your silly dreams, fall in between, the cracks of the bed and the wall.

He was walking throught the crowd during Wilco. I was a little tired and about the take a nap near the sound booth when my friend hit me in the leg and said "it's the drummer from My Morning Jacket!" At first I thought he meant on stage, but then, there he was 10 feet in front of us! My brother was already shaking his hand. I get very star struck in these situations so all I could say was "Thank You," then stare. Then his wife was very sweet and introduced herself, but I still couldn't really speak.
It was awesome!
He was the only member of the band that I hadn't had a close contact with and this was probably the best. And the "Thank You" was pretty much the first word I have gotten out to any of them.

I'm waiting for patrick to post something like "either there was some bad acid going around or i had something on my face because I was walking around and all I saw was people staring at me"

I saw him at the Badu show too. It looked like she smiled and pointed to him during her set once too. Would have been cool to hear her play "Tyrone" given the situation, but she was still pretty awesome.

I'm told he was right behind me at the Patterson Hood set on the Sonic Stage.  My buddy saw him but didn't point him out to me.   :-/

Howdy do.....this is quoted from Sunday's Bonnaroo Beacon (the daily newspaper put out during Bonnaroo with reviews, events and whatnot.)

"  Patrick Hallahan, the drummer for festival veterans My Morning Jacket who've held down the late night spot for years, attended this year as a fan with his wife.  "I guess I'm taking this year instead of giving," he mused.  Turning more earnest, he felt that "It's a very harmonious festival.  Not to say that other festivals aren't but there's just a really special thing at Bonnaroo."  He paused, looking for articulation.  "This festival isn't any different than the festival I attended in 2003.  The faces change but the spirit remains."  "

You know you're hot stuff when you make the front page of the Bonnaroo Beacon and you're not even performing.  Hell yeah Patrick!

Patrick, if you reading this, I was the dude in the cut off red shirt that said "this body climbed mount Washington" (one of my favorite T's, and my only cutoff) and I probably looked something like this  :D

And I was actually curious what your favorite song to play is, and I wanted to let you know about the pounding my steering wheel gets everytime I hear "It beats 4 U."
