this caught my eye because I'm seeing her Monday May 18th (in Boston).  That's a big jump in her schedule for 2 days!!

She's in NYC on the 19th, 20th, and 21st and sold those shows out immediately.  Her star is definitely rising.

Was surprised when a show on the 16th was added cause I had looked to see where she was going after the Aussie tour and saw the US shows started 2 days later. They've just added a 3rd show on the 14th so they're all gonna be pretty tired by the time they arrive in Boston you'd think.  But you do gain a day flying that way so leave on the 17th and arrive on the 17th... Anyway, I'm sure the rock n roll lifestyle is completely healthy and everyone will be full of beans...

Sturgill Simpson tonight!

Saw him at 9:30 recently. One of the better shows I've ever seen. Really awesome.

I never heard of Hamilton Leithauser but will listen ASAP in prep for May 3.  Our tastes must be similar (besides MMJ, we have a few other area shows in common) so I'm optimistic about Hamilton.  Send me a PM if you want to connect at the 9:30.

Are you familiar with The Walkman, APR?  He was with them before he went solo.

Thanks.  Yes, I read about that yesterday while listening to his solo stuff (so far so good).  I'm not familiar with the Walkmen either.

Northern Neighbor turned me on to the Walkmen and bought me some vinyl to boot.  They were playing at a bar we walked into in Newport after the day's show.  They were quite good but I guess disbanded now.

Anyone going to the Wilco show in Orlando on Tuesday? I'm in town for work and looked up concerts in the area and noticed that they playing the House of Blues. Think I'm gonna try and swing by!

Oh man I'm freaking out to get a chance to see Hum play at Mercy Lounge in Nashville Friday 8/7.  It would be amazing to see them with Mineral or Failure like some other lucky cities, but having them in Nashville for the first time in 17 years is going to be stellar.  I traveled to Birmingham, AL to see their reunion show in 2002, and again to Champagne, IL to see them in '05, but it's gonna feel mighty fine to make a quick drive down the road this time.   :cheesy:

Next weekend I have Mandolin Orange on Friday and Jason Isbell on Saturday.
