Set in Indy missed a couple songs:

The Quotidian Beast
Terror in the Canyons
A New Anhedonia
A Picture of Our Torn Up Praise
Tell Me Baby (Have You Had Enough)
Nothing Was Stolen (Love Me Foolishly)

Encore (w/ Band):
Wolves
Joe Tex, These Taming Blues

Quotidian Best, Terror in the Canyons, Nothing Was Stolen, Song For Zula, Ride On, and Wolves killed.  So did everything else, but damn those were great live.  They also set up white flowers and candles all over the stage, like a ton of them.

Is that in Westbury? I was debating on going to that when I read about it, but I couldnt turn down another J. Roddy show.

Picked up a ticket tonight for my first Jason Isbell show, in Iowa City on April 4 at Blue Moose Tap House.

Also got a seat onstage for an intimate show- 100 people on the Englert Theatre (Iowa City) stage with Ben Sollee and William Fitzsimmons, on May 6.

They sold out their show closest to me in Columbus or I'd be there...  :undecided:

A band called Caveman is opening.  Anybody have any thoughts on them?   One song I heard reminds me of the Shins, which is good.

Saw Phossy 2 nights ago in C'bus also in a small club.  Saw them at the same club last summer and it wasn't nearly as crowded.  Of course, students weren't in town in the summers either...

How did you like Caveman?  I hadn't heard them prior to seeing them open for Phossy, but I was quite impressed. I've since downloaded both of their albums and really dig what I'm hearing.  I too get some Shins, but I'm also hearing some Verve in some of their songs as well...

Oh, and Phossy killed it again as usual!

I think I am going to see the reunited Dream Syndicate tomorrow night in Toronto, weather permitting.

Fingers crossed!

Just picked up tickets to see Television in May! Woo! I know it's a watered down lineup, but man, I'll take Verlaine in any form. Big time bucket list show for me. Can't wait!

Just announced: Felice Bros in Hudson, NY 3/17

My all-time greatest show fail happened last time the Felice Bros came to Hudson. It was a Saturday night and for some reason I didn't order tickets ahead of time. I figured I would get there early and get them at the door. I brought my brother along because I was sick of seeing shows alone and I thought he would really like these guys. We had a delicious dinner at the American Glory BBQ place and then headed on over to the club. There was no line. At the ticket desk, I was informed that they only had ONE TICKET left for sale. FUCK. Walked away with our heads down. Had a beer at a bar. Checked again, completely sold out, no extra tickets were popping up. This time, I will buy them online.
