Pat Metheny Unity Group is playing in Nashville at the Ryman tonight (8:00 P.M. Central). I'm in Cookeville, Tenn. at my brother's house, and we'll be heading down to see the show in just a few minutes.

I've got a soft spot in my heart for Metheny, I had my first real concert experience at one of his shows in the mid 80s, at McNichols Arena in Denver. And by "real concert experience," I mean I got wasted and spent a significant portion of the show in the bathroom barfing.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Oh, I definitely saw the Swans date in May and already have tix for it.  I stopped my list above at the end of April just to not make it too long.

Good to know we will overlap at some shows coming up.  I think I saw somewhere that that Trail of Dead show is them playing Source Tags and Codes.  Is that correct?  If so, I might ditch the other show on my radar and see ToD instead.

Just picked up tickets to see Television in May! Woo! I know it's a watered down lineup, but man, I'll take Verlaine in any form. Big time bucket list show for me. Can't wait!

That is awesome!  I saw the current lineup last November and it was great.

I saw the band previously with Richard Lloyd and the new lineup doesn't feel watered down at all.  The new guitarist does a great job.

I'm praying the end up adding a DC date to their tour this spring.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

Yeah thats right there going to play the entire album then various songs from the rest of their catalouge, there at R&R Hotel on 3/27, so we'll definately be hitting that one up as well as the saturday DBT date.  I might be adding another couple of shows comming up if work allows.  Cheers.

Yeah I saw CtE with Manchester Orchestra a couple times when they toured together and they never did anything for me.  The only thing I really liked about them was that they were from Kentucky and that the singer reportedly wrote the lyrics to their most famous song on the back of drywall when doing his other job as a plumber or something like that.
I just hope that Roddy at least gets at least 45 minutes to play since it is a hometown show for him and all, and the fact that their the only band we really want to see on the bill.
We should be there pretty early so hopefully we'll be pretty close to up front for the show.
