ynwa and I have started to chat about this...  :D
You do realize that you, Liz, Eric, Trish, and Bob are a package deal (Vermont, T5 #5).
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I am tentatively interested in this...don't put me down officially or anything yet.  I'm going to ask my buddy if he might want to go.  I have a feeling he'll say it's "too jammy," but if the surrounding area is cool and I can convince him we could make a bit longer trip out of it to do other stuff, he might be down.  Will check back in.
We could.

I'll definitely be going to the festival. The condo rental idea is definitely tempting too. How close are they to the actual festival? Are they on the mountain? I didn't look into it too much. I wasn't able to meet up with anyone at the T5 shows but would possibly be willing to join in on the festivities at Mntn Jam.

I need to start planning for all my summer events now lol.

Awesome. Isn't it fun to start thinking about summer plans while we are in the deep freeze?  This is going to be some party!

No shit, eh?  I'm waiting to hear back from the guy, but plan to book it.  There are other places, but none so close to the fest (far as I can tell).  And it looks like, now that the fest has been announced, local rentals are disappearing fast.

I've got 10 names attached to this condo, which technically sleeps 7, so we may have to take turns in sleeping bags on the floor.  Plus, not everyone may be doing the full Fri-Mon thing.

For now, though, I guess the offer on this unit is closed while I work out with those who've already contacted me.  If space opens, I'll post it here.

Excellent way to use YouTube, my friend. Hee hee.

I'm a zit, get it????

I think a few of us are still working on the sleeping arrangements. I might be in on this plan, JY. I won't keep you waiting for an answer. You'll hear from me soon.

So this lineup is pretty sweet. Havent heard of any of the bands listed after Ryan Montbleau but Im sure some are good. Very intrigued also as Ive wanted to but have never seen the Magnetic Zeros, Avetts, Portugal The Man, Dawes, and Toubab Krewe.....Those of you familiar with the fest, and chance there are more artist additions at a later date like other fests do, or is Mtn Jam a 1 time announcement?

Def want to go, but wont be sure for another few months until I know my school schedule and funds situation..$200 for this festy seems a little steep IMO

Hey Scotty.  While I am by no means a Mountain Jam expert, I have read that there will be more additions  to the line up.  Hope u can swing it!

at the least, driving up for Sunday once the single day passes hit.

FiddleCastro

Definitely considering this or Bonnaroo... Maybe both... depends mostly on Bonnaroo.
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

baconus66

Yes there will be additions.  Also remember unlike many festivals where multiple stages prevent you from seeing many/most acts at Mountain Jam you can see every major band.

Aw Jen, wish ya could make it back over! Would love to see ya again! Way cool you get to see Karl though! I didn't know you lived in Hunter before! It's soooo lovely there... In Tannersville, there's a spot called the Grateful Bed *snicker* and it's a vacation rental house-type thing I think. I just saw it driving past and looked it up online, but there didn't seem to be a whole lot of info. on it... but awesome areas for sure!!

And Johnny, much props for looking all that up indeed! I'm definitely too up in the air to throw down on anything right now... Hot damn, if tix are cheaper to not camp there, that is way helpful! I forget if anyone described what 'camping' is like at the fest.... I can't imagine it's like bonnaroo or allgood, but I'll have to read back and double-check... but def. good to know there's other options!

Love Tannersville Woodnymph! Our production office was right near the Grateful Bed, I remember passing it and snickering myself. It deft. helped me like the place immediately seeing that. I remember some great restaurants in the area as well. You live in Woodstock right?

Our condos were very close to Hunter mountain. So happy to see everyone again! I will represent at Hotel Cafe for Karls show for you all!

Happy MLK day, we all have a dream.

Oh my... I love this as a T5 reunion as I can't get back east in Feb. and as Karl will be here in LA in Feb  :)

I lived in Hunter NY for 3 months in 05 working on a movie and feel like an expert in the area if anyone has questions lol. Tannersville is another awesome little town next to Hunter.

This will be a fun kick off to Festi Season!

Johnny I would be down for a Hunter rental.
So, Jen, am I to take this that you're interested in the condo?  Coast to coast?  What movie was it, btw?

Looks like a little roll call is forming!

My Morning Tube top ?

you ?

hey Johnny--i sent you an email and told you myself and some others are interested! also a link for what i was looking at in terms of cabins---might be different or the same..

Tube top--what up?! How are you! Great to see you around these parts.

Penny great to be here. I am such a weak poster on the Forum but always sending the love to those at T5 and beyond. I too saw Hot Tuna at Further Fest up in NorCal, (another camping on a Mountain Festival). GE Smith was with Hot Tuna and made me flash back to his intense glare during his days on SNL. They were awesome.

Lots of great music in LA lately and 80 degree weather this week  ;D
To all of you in the cold, keep warm or come visit!

JaneCool

I am DEFINITELY down for this show! I do hope we can just buy a Sunday pass, although I wouldn't mind going both Saturday and Sunday if I can swing it. I'm also interested in the condo sharing idea.
So, I do believe.....

SWEET deal MMTT! That Grateful Bed place didn't seem real "open for business" when I passed it, but that *was* in October... might've just been a lazy summer home  8).... As far as livin' in Woodstock goes...... maybe this fall I think I will! There's a lady herbalist who lives right in Woodstock, and if her classes go into the fall, I may be taking them, depending on monies and etc! If not this fall, then 2012 might see me there! I just adore it up there! But I currently live in Pittsburgh, movin' to Asheville this March to study herbology a few months and see what it's all like. Hope to see you at Mt. Jam!!  :D

Looks like the wife & I are gonna make this! It would be silly not to since this festy is reasonably close to Philly. We're very much looking forward to throwin down with our T5 buds again (& any jacketeers we haven't met yet)!
