I'm kind of hoping he's at the show tonight.   ;D

Heard Kathleen's new album is great..need to pick this up.

Northern Neighbour

Kathleen's latest album is pretty good.  I prefer her earlier albums, which I found to be more personal than her last two efforts.  Still, this album is pretty good.

Sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned, but I never as they say, touched the stuf

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

That is the best 24 minutes of musical experience i've had in a long time.    :o

I've come to the realization that "big band" Bon Iver is great, but just Justin and Sean Carey by themselves, like in the For Emma days, is OTHERWorldly.    It's rare I feel such strong emotion from a band other than MMJ, but this is certainly one of them.

Yes, I'll take For Emma over the new one any day.  Did you guys see this skit from SNL.  Pretty damn funny.  Make sure you watch till the end.

Ha!   That's great.   Taylor Swift was my favorite.

Anybody have the new Justin Vernon side project, Shouting Matches?   I just bought it today and so far so good.   Pretty straight forward blues but very well done.   I'm not sure I would have even guessed it was him singing if I didn't know already.   I see people comparing it to the Black Keys but it sounds more like the Rolling Stones style blues to me.

Here are some clips from Coachella.....

wow, his rock voice isn't that bad...i usually assume artists like him (and Phossy) sing like that because they can't sing rock...verdict's out but i like it so far?!
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Shouting Matches is probably going to end up being my favorite Justin Vernon project. Good stuff!

The Shouting Matches have a new LP out now.  Seems to have been quietly released couple weeks ago.  I am streaming on rdio and have not been blown away so far.  Gallup, NM is a good tune.

BH

Gallup, NM is definately the best song on there, but I like the whole thing a lot.

New one out Friday. It leaked this evening. I preordered so went ahead and downloaded. It's....odd....but I love it through one listen
