QuoteIn my dream Dan Auerbach was playing guitar for Jim James and when he was done he threw his guitar about 100 yards into a field. :D :D :D
Do you remember what song he was playing?

No ;D Dan was just wailing on guitar with Jim watching not on a stage or at a show, Dan was just playing for Jim in some field like an audition.
Not the one thing. I used to think I
could at least some way put things right.

Sian-of-the-dead

Once I dreamt that my friends and me were staying in an old converted barn, waiting for a Pearl Jam show the next day. The boys were staying in the room below and us girls were up top. JJ was there (for some unknown reason) and we sat around, drank and sang with Jim for a bit, and oddly, it just felt normal for everyone. We sang Gideon and Nashville to Kentucky and even my non MMJ fan friends knew all the words... It became late and Jim insisted that he was to stay in the girls room with us. Of course, we didn't argue but we did ask why... he simply placed his guitar on the sofa, turned to my friend and said in a very camp voice "well, the boys won't be doing their nails pink, will they?" I then woke up...

I really don't know why I dreamt that  :-[

I love Jacket dreams! I have had a few too. Love to read about others too. In mine, I was hanging with them in Louisville at some old gas station like place. It was after a show and we were being show around by the band! Next thing I knew we were all on bicycles riding through town. It inspired me to make 3 MMJ compilation disks called - aptly enough "Jacket Dreams," I II and III of course. :-*

But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

I had this crazy one that involved Jim James and the destruction of my dreams in a painful manner.

So, picture this, my band, getting ready to play in This Tent at Bonnaroo, following Jim James doing a solo thingy, then as we do the sound check....

Here's the chain of events:
1. My bass is all out of tune, so I go and tune it
2. I can't find a tuner, and our guitarist's is out of batteries
3. JIM JAMES hands me a tuner!
4. I can't get my bass tuned, the E string keeps slipping out of tune
5. I go and tighten the tuning nuts on my bass
6. The D string EXPLODES off my bass!
7. Good thing I have a backup!
8. We get tuned and we get readyto play our first song
9. We play about 10 seconds into it, and our guitarist breaks one of his strings, and the guitar disintegrates....
10. It started raining, and The crowd that had formed to see us had by then been reduced to just two, my friend Dan, and Jim James.
11. Jim James says "wummawoobawbooo" or some similar incoherent jibberish
12. Wake up time!
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

Ok, first CARL dream ever last night!  Whew, it was a good one, from what I recall.  He had just finished the Fallon set, and was bursting with confidence and joy!  He was also extremely flirtatious, and had his lanky arm draped around me as he kept fluffing his hair.  Oh my, very dreamy indeed.  I'm standing on Carl's side from now on  :D :D :D

I had a dream that My Morning Jacket was playing Sweet Home Alabama and I was booing them because I thought no one could do it better than Skynyrd.  Why I was booing them I have no idea, the idea of booing them is just... forget it I don't even want to think what was going through my mind.
Do not spray into eyes, I have sprayed you into my eyes

Fuck you, subconscious.  Jim James would give a person a ride if they needed it.

That made me laugh  ;D
soft and warm all the time make you want it over and over

Last night i had a dream i was outside an old video rental store with a whole bunch of people. Eddie Vedder was also there. I made NOTHING of it. We were just sitting around with a guitar, and then suddenly his involvment with mr. YIMMY YAMES hit me! SO we talked about yames for a while and then i had realized that Bermuda Highway would be excellent if Eddie Vedder sang it, especially the "ah AH AH ahss" at the end. So he told me to play it on the guitar because he couldnt. And i couldnt remember. F MY LIFE. Then i woke up.

I live for MMJ. I have never seen them life. Thats my number one wish. For the past two years ive been unable to. Whenever they are in the US, i have been in Europe, whenever they go to Europe, im in the US. Then, They were here, i was here, i bought tickets. He has his accident. FUCK. I have had 3 dreams in which i am AT a concert of theirs waiting for them to come on stage, then i wake up . The last one seemed INCREDIBLY real, and it really tripped me out when i woke up.

Have ya'll had Morning Jacket Jreams??

man you had the chance to see eddie cover jim and you couldn't remember it.... ya blew it

So last night in my dream we were all at some unnamed festival watching the boys play from the rail. Halfway through Steam Engine, they stopped, walked off stage, and the lights came up. (Talk about torture.) We're all standing around going, "What the hell? Is something wrong?" Then we see them ride away from the back of the stage in a white van. One of the stage guys looks down at us and goes, "Yeah...there's this mini-golf place in town they like to go to." I was standing next to Crispy and he looks at me, shrugs his shoulders and says, "Well, they like their recreation, I suppose." And he walks away.

1) If you've ever met Crispy, this would not be his reaction.
2) I woke up laughing my ass off.

;D

HAHAHA! I don't know, I do like my recreation too and might be pretty sympathetic...I mean, we are talking about mini-golf here.  ;D

In anticipation of their show at the CMAC last August I had a dream that they went on stage, somebody shot Jim, and he died. Right in front of my eyes. I was crying in my dream, and felt like crying when I woke up. Thank god I'm not like Anakin Skywalker... My bad dreams don't come true (Star Wars reference)
and if all else fails, i'll come running back, wonderin where you went
with my heart.

Haha that's sweet, glad to know I'm not the only one who has had a "Jream"...

In my jream I was just at a really cool made up ampitheater venue and was having a dialogue (not a monologue for the first time) with Jim and he was playing everything I requested. Pretty awesome.  I have had several jreams now I wonder if it has anything to do with the state of mind I find myself in sometimes at their shows.

here we go again.........

last night, before bed time, we were discussing the REMOTE remote remote remote possibility of going to London in November, and getting tix for the show at the Roundhouse. I was reading about the Roundhouse, and this is the description:  From modest Victorian beginnings – beginning life in 1846 as a steam-engine repair shed – to legendary cultural venue, the Roundhouse has an enviable heritage. The Grade II* listed building is now home to a bold and exciting programme of live music, theatre, dance, circus, installations and new media.

Again, remote.  Upon further discussion, we are thinking about London in Springtime.....Anyhoo, here's the dream:

I am in London with my parents (bob is nowhere to be found).  We are walking through London and happen upon the Roundhouse.  We find our way through the pub downstairs, which takes us to an elevator door, which only opens halfway.  The three of us squeeze into the elevator, which takes us to the roof, where the performance area is.  Mind you, there is no band, we are simply checking the venue out.  The door opens only halfway, so I must leap out onto the roof, leaving my parents in the tiny tin can of an elevator.  It was a mossy and muddy green up there, with no fencing or anything to keep one from falling off the roof....for some reason, these things made me decide it was not a suitable venue for me to see the band...so we left, and that was that.

Weird....CAN'T WAIT TIL FRIDAY!

Ok, dreamtime again.....

we were in a really small loungey place, the band was onstage, we were super close.  they did one song, and then the boys left the stage except for jim.  he started playing golden as they were all exiting the stage and started having a panic attack.  so, i went up on the stage, calmed him down, held his hands, told him everything would be ok :) and then he gave me a smooch......

and then my 8 y.o. daughter woke me up  :( :( :(
