My Morning Jacket Jreams.

Last night i had a dream i was outside an old video rental store with a whole bunch of people. Eddie Vedder was also there. I made NOTHING of it. We were just sitting around with a guitar, and then suddenly his involvment with mr. YIMMY YAMES hit me! SO we talked about yames for a while and then i had realized that Bermuda Highway would be excellent if Eddie Vedder sang it, especially the "ah AH AH ahss" at the end. So he told me to play it on the guitar because he couldnt. And i couldnt remember. F MY LIFE. Then i woke up.

I live for MMJ. I have never seen them life. Thats my number one wish. For the past two years ive been unable to. Whenever they are in the US, i have been in Europe, whenever they go to Europe, im in the US. Then, They were here, i was here, i bought tickets. He has his accident. FUCK. I have had 3 dreams in which i am AT a concert of theirs waiting for them to come on stage, then i wake up . The last one seemed INCREDIBLY real, and it really tripped me out when i woke up.

i have- it was more of a nightmare though.

They were playing in a high school auditorium which was maybe half full, there was garbage everywhere and everyone was talking.  No one paid any attention when the band came on stage and they played one song.  It lacked enthusiasm- as if the band was done with music and this day had been a long time coming.  After that one song they said they would be back for an encore and a screen came down that showed viagra commercials and other sponsored commercials.  I went out to get a drink- disappointed to see my favorite band in such a state and angry at the other "fans" when i got back into the auditorium some guy came out and said the show was over and they started cleaning up.  I was incredibly sad and sat in the front row in shock staring at the stage as everyone else walked by- seemingly uninterested at what happened.

I was in a mixed state of sadness and relief when i woke up

I guess that when you love something so much, its natural to fear for its survival

i  had one few months ago where they played at my family's ranch house. our deck is on a a cliff over a field in the middle of the woods. a huge crowd is down in the field, and the guys are jamming on the deck. 4 hour set. awesome.

Jim Slowly Starts To Levitate off Stage...

My Jim James dream was really unfortunate.

I was trying to escape Hurricane Katrina: Redux with some of my pals.  It got all "Grapes of Wrath", and we ended up in some valley in Colorado where it started snowing.  All the people camped out there left, and Jim was the only one still there.  I asked Jim for a ride, and he said no.

Fuck you, subconscious.  Jim James would give a person a ride if they needed it.

I had a dream about Carl playing for me, which was incredible. It wasn't sexual or anything, he simply played for me and I listened. It was fantastic.

Also, last week I didn't dream of the boys, but something similar. News came out that they were playing a bunch of shows, but in really random places and at middle of nowhere outdoor venues. I was scrambling to get to as many shows as possible and I was consulting with people from the forum -- don't remember anyone specifically, but our excitement was overwhelming.

MMJ was in concert. The stage lights would go low for a while and then high in a continuous sequential pattern. JJ would look out of the corner of his widely opened eyes each time the stage lights went to high and each time..... there was another band on stage....The lights flashed and it was Cream with Jack Bruce on his left...the lights flashed and then it was the Yes Group with Steve Howe on his right...then again it was Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special and again it was Allman Brothers...and then The Who and then suddenly JJ was not himself...he was Neil Young! The dream had a happy ending where MMJ was again restored to bring us all the best of what has happened in music in the past but with a totally unique sound that MMJ can claim as their own creation.

I was driving around in an old beat up  :D :Dcountry squire station wagon with the fellas....for some reason we stopped of at jim's mom's house to play football in the yard......as we were about to leave, being a girl and all, i had to go inside to "freshen" up...needless to say i was rummaging through various drawers/closets etc...i remember a pile of towels...anyway, his mom caught me in the act and i ran out to the car, all flushed and embarrassed....and we took off.....then i woke up with the absolute realization that I AM OBSESSED!

Jim was doing a show at Macy's along with Neko Case and some other cool people. His stage was by the makeup counter and after the show I thought I'd go up and say hello, but the stage suddenly went from being a stage to a staircase that didn't really lead anywhere. I walked up the staircase and I found him sitting there by himself with luggage around him. So we just sat there with the lugage; on the staircase that led nowhere and hung out. It was fun.

I had my first My Morning Jacket Jream ever last night.

My band had just finished preforming and we got off stage, and backstage, Jim James is there and he commends us for an awesome performance, except he's noticibly sad, and crying, because the critics didn't like his new album, so I comfort him, saying "Critics is losers" Jim, feeling better, and inspired, invites us to play with MMJ so we open for them and collectively play Steam Engine at one point, and I woke up and was like "whoa."

Usually my dreams just consist of Jim.. I had like 4 of them before the NYE show.  I kept asking him to play The Bear for me at the NYE show and he said he definitely would.  He also played it in my dream for just me and it was awesome.  Then of course as we all know...they didn't play it and I had a dream after the show asking him why he promised me he would and he didn't and he apologized.  Haha.  Weird.  I know.

I've had a few, but the most recent one was really long and lucid.  They played in my garage, I remember a particularly exceptional Dondante.  All my close friends were there and we all hung out afterwards.  I woke up in a great mood which lasted the rest of the day.   8-)

I would be totally cool with it if she actually did that and it worked.
