Should I start with Lonerism, or InnerSpeaker?
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

They're both really good, may as well start from the beginning and go with Innerspeaker

They will also be at the Georgia Theater Feb 23 as well.  I'll be there!

I know most seem to really like Lonerism, but I dont get the love. I like Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, but overall I think the album sounds like a totally different band than Innerspeaker. I love Innerspeaker, but I put the new one in the same category as Delta Spirit's new album, huge disappointments.

NEW ALBUM IS AWESOME. BEST ALBUM TO COME OUT OF 2012

My new record store clerk just introduced me to them, i love them!
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

have you guys checked out Melody's Echo Chamber?  not sure why i waited so long, but it's flooring me today.  produced by TI's Kevin Parker, this thing is a natural companion piece to Lonerism

WHOA, I had not heard of this, it's very cool.

Anyone going to the Terminal 5 show tonight?  More importantly, does anyone have an extra tickets to sell, to the terminal 5 show tonight??

So has anyone seen them on this current leg of the tour?  I see em tomorrow and was curious how they were sounding.  Admittedly I enjoyed the Pond album more than either TI full length and Innerspeaker much more than Lonerism but still stoked for this.

Mr.or Mrs Mod....may I request a thread merger please?  Thanks!

My husband saw them in November and thought they sounded great. They've changed things around some.  The drummer is now playing keyboards and doing backup vocals and they have a new drummer.  They seemed more confident and they had more than 45 mins of songs to play.

oooooh - cool poster for tonight.  If anyone ends up with an extra, I'd love to buy it.  I'd send you $ for shipping + Pliney for your trouble.

I finally get to see them tonight, they're coming to Athens-I'm pretty stoked!   :drum:

Enjoy man!  Saw them on Wednesday and came away impressed.  Sounds like they've been able to beef up and polish their live sound with their huge success these days.  I thought they were very good but they could have done more with their spirograph video accompaniment though the simplicity was their likely intent.

Have loved this band since Innerspeaker came out. Saw them last fall at Union Transfer and they were fantastic in concert - definitely go see them live if you can!
So, I do believe.....

seeing them tomorrow night!

I just found out about this group and they are great. They played a sold out show in Austin last night at Stubbs. Tickets on stubb hub were going for $70, which is beyond unreasonable for this band (or most).

Did anyone in the Austin area go?

How is their light show?
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

Tame Impala was amazing.  Light show is pretty straight forward.  They do the trippy computer graphic deal projected on screens.  you know the bouncy lines & shapes in rhythm with music.  work for them.

I have been listening to both Lonerism and InnerSpeaker a lot the past two weeks.  I think both are near perfect psychedelic rock albums.  Love this band and after seing them live love them even more.  If they come through town buy tickets early, show selling out and scalping is getting outrageous.
