Watching this video again just makes me so freakin' happy.

Hoping to watch the whole Storytellers live Friday night with Penny, Brooke & Bluesky after our official "Circuital Listening Party" (on vinyl of course) and the beginning of a "Wonderful" Mt. Jam weekend.
was some shakin' and some record playin'

Jam Party.   Ordered the mega-cool-super-duper deluxe package and hoping it arrrives for that day as I would love to spint the Green Vinyl for all our "party guests".  Otherwise, the download and burn to cd will have to do.   Wanna join the party Liz?

Sorry I can be at Jeff's for the Circuital listening party or Storytellers premier viewing.  I'll be hanging with Eric et al at Mt. Jam Friday.  The condo owner says the VCR is out of order but has a DVD player.  Any way to record the program to DVD?  If so, bring it to Hunter.  I could bring a VCR; if anyone still uses that techonology, bring the tape.

Finally watched this tonight--it's really goofy to be on tv..and embarrassing...but what a great experience! Thanks again, Brooke. We do definitely resemble Vatican Warlock assassins.

Whatever, goofy, 10 lbs.  You girls rock.  There's a reason the cameraman was on you two all night!   Remember when I predicted it was going to be a video?   (Wrong as always with my predictions!)  You made it on screen anyway!

'Storytellers' Gets Hip

The VH1 standby books indie bands, rising stars

"Its a dream we've had since eighth grade," says My Morning Jacket's Jim James, whose band is one of six booked for VH1 Storytellers' 15th season.  "It's in that Saturday Night Live and MTV Unplugged category."

Storytellers is shitfing from radio giants to younger acts like MMJ, Kings of Leon and Cee Lo Green.  "We had every A-lister we wanted, from Green Day to Springsteen," says VH1 president Tom Calderone.  "It's time to give the platform to rising stars."

The change means less canned stories and more revealing moments.  James teared up while discussing "Dondante," about a pal who gave him his first guitar - and committed suicide.  Kinds of Leon's set was full of hits like "Use Somebody."  "We used the watch [Storytellers] all the time," says bassist Jared Followill.  "It's one of the cooler things on television."
