and the liklihood that they will play for only an hour...

I think 45 minutes is more likely, maybe less. Think that's what they got at Hop Farm three years ago. Seriously hoping there's some indoor UK shows, there's gotta be...

My hope is that they close out the second stage, which is a 90 minute slot - Rodrigo y Gabriela did that a few years ago and tore the place apart.

Yes, yes fingers crossed! So Latitude festival visitors, assuming my friend and I make it there too, who are you and where will we all meet-up?

Hi Sara! Seems to be just the two of us this summer ;) (kidding) I'l  go first :) I'm the friend you refer to in your post, I'm 30 years old, from the same town as you (surprise :D). Have been in love with My morning jacket since the first day I heard of them....I will meet you one hour before the plane leaves Gothenburg, when and where exactly I don't know yet! But it is going to be awesome!!!

excuse the sometimes confusing grammar ... english is not my native language...

Hi team Europe!
I might fly in from Stockholm/Skavsta this summer if they don´t play closer to home that is..
Looks like a nice fan get-to-gether swedish style at the festival! :)
Then I´ve catched The Jackets both in France and in England but not yet at home (except the MOF show). But hey vacation abroad and nice music who can complain?
"but that's when my knife rises,
their life ends and my life starts again!"

This could be the biggest Swedish invasion since Ingvar the Far-Travelled visited England.

I'll be there on the Saturday only.  I've been to Latitude three times, and enjoyed each one.  We should definitely meet up for pre-Jacket beers and then get down on the rail.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Team Europe grows larger, greetings fellow Swede! Or should I perhaps say bork bork? ;) Nice to have another experienced MMJ concert veteran on board! Please tell us a little more about yourself, you know, favorite song, hat size, your masterplan... the usual stuff

Hahahaha! Poor Ingvar, he never did return... It will be an invasion for sure though, I know Sunny said we'd go by plane, but really we're planning to go by moose, as soon as Mr. Stockholm confirms we'll be saddling up! (it takes a while to travel by moose, so we better get started sooner rather than later)

Either way pre-Jacket beers it is! I hear you got some fine brands over there across the North Sea!

no chance of that - MMJ can barely get arrested in the UK - which is cool, 'cos we get to see them in sensible sized venues  ;D

Checking back regularly for more UK dates - unless it's European festivals in the summer and a proper tour in the autumn??

Can they ever be as good as they were in Nottingham on the 'Z' tour ...... ???

@dawn

Despite the facts that it is a 5 1/2 hour drive from where I live, that my wife will have to fly in from Spain, that a day ticket is £70, that Paolo Nutini is headlining, and the liklihood that they will play for only an hour, I have bought tickets and we will be going. End of.

Respect to the dedication!

Looks like the Jacket are on before headliner Paulo Nutini - so they might have a decent stage time after all I guess...

Should be an 8pm-9pm slot - ideal face-melting potential as the sun is going down.  It also means I should be able to drag myself over to see Foals headline the second stage afterwards.

Saturday day tickets not available according to the Latitude website, so I guess Paolo Nutini must really pull 'em in.  ???

Hmmm.  I got mine as soon as MMJ were announced - hopefully they'll put some more day tickets on later.  I seem to remember they like to see how weekend ticket sales go before releasing the last of the day tix.

Might be able to make Latitude too, praying on Ingvar the Far-Travelled's grave that things will work out, fingers crossed too! :D

See you there SBB!  Should be a good day: They Might Be Giants, Foals, British Sea Power, Seasick Steve... plus some others yet to be announced as to which day they're playing (hoping for some of these on the Saturday): Anna Calvi, Avi Buffalo, The Bees, Edwyn Collins, The Duke & The King, James Vincent McMorrow.

Yes! So excited! Had to get Friday tickets too, can't miss Bright Eyes! :D And I love Villagers, not sure what "playing across the music arenas" mean though? ??? Can't say I know the other bands too well, but I'll Spotify them right away!
