Pre-sale tickets for fans? Sweeeeet. The earlier I can pick up tickets to these shows, the sooner I can go crazy in anticipation.

Can we expect East Coast dates to come?!?!?!

I would be thrilled for some southern dates. It seems odd that NYC is left out. New England seems left out altogether. I'm gonna hit Chicago and be happy about it but I'd love some more closer to Louisville.

QuoteIn celebration of their new album, Circuital, My Morning Jacket are proud to announce a series of concerts at venues they have handpicked to debut their new music. Circuital is out this summer on ATO Records. The band will embark on a North American tour in support of the release beginning in June, and more dates will be announced soon. With this album, the band recorded almost everything live together to allow for warmth and spontaneity. Tickets go on pre-sale to fans Wednesday, March 23rd and on sale to the public on Saturday, March 26th. The band will donate $1 from every ticket sold from these dates to charity.

That's promising. Got it from the full press release here:

I'll be at Chicago for sure and possibly...Red Rocks? Mighty tempting. I'm pretty sure Bonnaroo can't happen anymore for me so this is a nice replacement!

I'm going to push HARD for Red Rocks and Chicago.   I wish we had a bit more time before tickets went on sale.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

SOOO happy they announced Chicago. I saw mof at the Auditorium and the sound is amazing and I  got to meet BH for a little pre-game cocktail.  I just got the vacation day request approved.  Now I just need tickets.

TwoFingers, have we meet at a show somewhere.  Maybe a show in Dekalb or something? Did you go to the Clutch show last year at ottos ?

Who's coming to visit me?   :)

Me, me! I am! You want to road trip to Chicago, BH? I'll pick you up on the way.

Damn!  I'm going to be in Chicago the week prior to their announced date for a wedding and I've got a wedding I have to attend in Ohio on the Saturday following their date in Chicago?!  So that looks to be a no go unfortunately?!

However, Red Rocks looks awfully damn tempting!   8)

Can u believe I have NEVER been to Chicago??  This is an interesting thought .........

Funny, I'm scheming to make my in-laws happy with a visit by me, the wife, and our three girls to Mimi and Papa's house in the 'burbs of Chitown, but timing it with Lollapalooza, where I suspect the Jacket will appear.  Now we've got this show in June, but my break isn't until late June (through late August  ;) being a teacher may pay off this summer).  I'm just gonna have to cross my fingers that the Lolla rumor is true.

Until then, Montreal should be nice.  The day before my bride's birthday.

Flying into Denver from NYC tomorrow. Hoping sale isn't going on while I'm on the plane. Would hate to miss out on the pre-sale for Red Rocks :'(.

Still some room for more!

May 23 to June 1 is open, between Alabama and Arkansas.

There's some space in mid-June for more dates.

They'll probably do Europe, maybe two weeks, starting with Latitude July 16.

August is almost empty after Red Rocks.

I just want to get as many shows between late-June and late-August, while I'm off.

I am a bit distressed to see that according to TM, Red Rocks will be reserved seating for the first 60 rows.

When I got an email from MMJ inviting me to register for the internet pre-sale tomorrow, it did not mention whether we will get the best seats in the house like Pearl Jam gives to Ten Club, or whether, like most bands, they will hold some of the best seats for radio pre-sales and the public onsale.

I am going to hate trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on a purchase if they might be holding better seats.

johnnYYac

I went back to the presale page, with my logon and password emailed to me, and set up my account just now (name, address, phone, etc.) to make the tix purchasing tomorrow a bit easier.  You may want to do the same.   Too bad I couldn't put my $$$ info in early, too.  I hate entering credit card info when you're worried good tix will vanish and you're up against a clock.  Too much pressure.

Seeker, I was wondering the same thing, as some presales have been underwhelming in the past.  I'm feeling hopeful as this seems more controlled by the MMJ organization than by Ticketasshole.  We'll see...

Distressed?

I feel the opposite.Glad RR has those reserved seats, and I'm totally psyched they're offering us a fan presale.

What's the worst that can happen? You get through for a pair of tix and if you don't like them, throw them back and try again at the general sale.

You'll have two chances to score some great seats, imo.
"Where's Jim going?"

johnnYYac

I hear ya about reserved seats up front, Eric.  Us old farts don't mind a seat underneath for a few shows.  That said...

From the FAQ section of the Metropolis website

Can we see a seating plan?

No. Please note that Métropolis is a general admission venue and follows the policy "first come, first served".

johnnYYac will own the rail in Montreal, motherfuckers!  Whooo!

Place kinda reminds me of Terminal 5, though it seats about half of its 2300 capacity.
