Anyone know if the Chicago venue will be GA or reserved?

Very much reserved - check it out online.  It's a gorgeous old theater with pristine acoustics.

Am I the only one here who's already seen MMJ at Red Rocks?   ???  I'd find that hard to believe.
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

Many thanks.  The theater seating chart online has two set-ups - GA and reserved.  The wife is < 5' tall, so GA shows are tough on her....

no 1st leg shows for me. red rocks would be tempting but i will likely be seeing phish @ the gorge that weekend and i don't ever see me doing any real travel for shows that are only one date / location ... 2 nights at red rocks though? i'd consider that!

ready for some 2nd leg tour dates though  8)

Oh, on Ticketmaster?  Yeah, even if it's GA (and I can't recall ever hearing about a GA event there) the seats aren't movable, so she would at least have a chair.

Shut out   :'(  And it was saying the presale was sold out at 12:02.  My friend got 2 in second row center, though.

I kept trying 20 minutes after it said sold out... buy now popped up again, and got 2 in row R. Not what I hoped, but better than nothing.
The river's long... it is cold. It chills the body but not the soul.

I'm not saying to not come to Toronto, but if I had a choice between Montreal and Hogtown (Toronto), I'd go with the former, mainly because Metropolis is a great venue whereas Kool Haus is not. I generally hate Toronto's Kool Haus. In fact, Torontonians generally don't like the place because of the less-than-desirable locale and that the sound is notoriously suspect (the Black Keys sounded good though last July). Toronto has some far better venues such as the historic Massey Hall. Either way, you'll have a good time. Both cities rock, but Montreal has locale and a superior venue going for it. Massey Hall would've been perfect. Maybe next tour.

Sold out at 12:01 for me. :(

I see what the haters are saying about Kool Haus, but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to see MMJ just because they are playing there. They've played there several times now, and while the place is indeed in a shitty area, it is still possible to have a thoroughly amazing time there. They've got bars all over the venue, so there's rarely a line for a drink, and the whole place is so wide that pretty much anywhere you stand, you've got a great view. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience there.

I've seen MMJ at three different venues in T.O. and the last time they it was was at Kool Haus. It was by far my least entertaining show, but it also had something to do with the setlist and pacing.

I've been going to Kool Haus (or Concert Hall) for 20 years and memorable shows are few and far between, and most of my derision comes from the acoustics and atmosphere (and dreary location). Heck, even Ween didn't sound very good nor did The Raconteurs.

That being said, The Black Keys were really good at Kool Haus last summer. If you stand way off to the sides by the corner bars though, it's like being in the back of a cave devoid of atmosphere.

If you do decide to attend the Toronto show, go to the neighbourhood at Church St. and Front. The area for bars rocks, especially C'est What, which has lots of Canuck micro brews on tap and a decidedly Canadian menu.

So excited for the Vancouver show.  The Orpheum is an absolutely beautiful venue.  Had 6th row for Black Keys back in October and now I have front row for MMJ - oh happy day.

Also heading down to Edgefield, managed to snag a hotel room.  Mini MMJ tour here I come!
