Dude, you aren't kidding!  All I can think about is what I need to do before leaving town.  I swear I've been focusing on this week so much, I've mentally got my bags packed, routes planned out.  I'm ready to RAWK!
You need it.  That's for sure.

baconus66

Does anybody know what the camera policy is going to be?  The Red Rocks site says its up to the band.   I'm wondering if I can get my entry level Canon DSLR in?

I KNOW! I've been so busy and all of a sudden yesterday it hit me: "I'm going to Colorado to see MMJ play at Red Rocks." Eeeeeeeee.

Now we need to just figure out the best place for all of us to get together either before or after the show to socialize/raise a can o' brew together to the greatest band evaaahhhhhh.

Eeeeeeeee is right!

Best place before the show is the Upper North parking lot. We'll be getting there pretty early in the afternoon.

Hope this is cool.  GA ticket on eBay for face, if anyone is in need.

Come on John, any chance that ticket could have your name on it?
You know I would if I could.  Too soon after my Canadian adventure and too soon before our trip to Chicago.  Have fun without me, if that's possible.  I'm sure you'll all find a way...

We will toast to you my friend.  Certainly you will be there in spirit.

I'm bummed I'm gonna miss this.  I guess I learned the pitfalls of will call as well as I have no way of getting my money back for the tix I purchased for this show unless I send someone my credit card or license.

You're welcome for the less crowded GA. ;D  Rock it out!

Just in case anyone hasn't booked accommodations yet, a bunch of us are staying Wed and Thurs night at The Sheraton, Lakewood, which is 6 miles from Red Rocks and 10 miles from the airport. We're going to head to Crispy's Cabin on friday AM (I Think?) This way we'll be close to everything. We got a rate of $129 + tax and it's a really nice place. We'll probably do a little hotel pre-party tailgating then head to the venue early both nights ...(super early thurs of course).....the cabin option is still on but we got nervous about the actual distance and driving up in the mountains late at night..still can't wait to get there the rest of the weekend to continue the fest!

Penny where did you book at this price? I checked the link and it's showing $169. We are most likely camping at Bear Creek but a hotel would be a great option. I am also leery about the long drive after the show.

I've had really good luck with Hotwire, and others I know have with Priceline, so you might check there, selecting by location on the map. Hotwire's showing me a 3-star in Lakewood South for $74.

Crispy,

Go to that link, click on the "Hotel Offers" on the far right of the banner. A promo page will come up, and go to the 3rd one down that says "Great Rates From $69.00 - promo code FMT" buy through that offer and the $129.00 + tax rate will come up.

Sent you a pm, check that first.

Nice -- I was actually trying to point others to some cheaper options. I've got my place to stay! ;)

Hopefully you are still planning on MP and I look forward to seeing you then.
