Just out of curiousity has MMJ ever even played in Vancouver before? If so when and where? Who did they open for or was it their show?

I only know of one show they have played here, it was Richards on Richards in 2003. I don't know who the opener was. I did not attend, but know people who did. I will check the concert archive and get back to you.

Nailed a ticket in the front row of the dress circle.  I'll be taping; feel free to come say hi or give me blocking before the show starts but please no drunken antics near my mics!   ;)  Anyone else expecting to tape that night?  I went to 2 of the 3 Hip shows in 2009 and got excellent captures so I expect a great capture of this show too.   :thumbsup:

awesome, glad to hear this will be taped. Im still hoping that a seattle 08 show surfaces, i had front row for that one...was amazing.

are your hip shows available to view/hear anywhere? would love a copy. i have some amazing pictures from those shows....i was very close.

first row of the balcony will be a great view! enjoy the show.

Thanks for the info on all the shows they have played here. I can't believe I missed them playing in small venues like Richards on Richards. I actually only found out about them because of Pemberton. So thank god they came to that because otherwise it may have even taken longer to find one of my favourite bands.

Holy shitballs! I was front row at MaCaw Hall as well. Front and dead centre! Where abouts were you? You couldn't have been far from me judging by those pics. As far as the 2 nights go Portland was better I thought. Just a better crowd that was really into it. We were front row for that as well but left at the beginning of Dondante because of the potential of ruptured bladders. LOL

I hope to hang out with some people before the show, never been to a MMJ event and I'm coming up from the states. I think I got Seth01's original seat; fifth row dead center after trying to log into pre-sale for an hour- not too shabby :) Will there be an easy way to recognize folks in the pub? Unfortunately I don't own any MMJ tshirts or other merchandise, yet.

I'm very excited! We're starting to plan our trip for this and the Portland show.  First step - renew passport!  I haven't been to Vancouver in ages - every time I've been was to see Pearl Jam.  I kinda feel like I'm cheating on them with MMJ.   ???

Thought I would bump the thread here, and give everyone the option to have a little meet and drink with some MMJ board members. As mentioned, I am going with a few people already and after I get the tickets from the box office, I will be there...come say hi.


Here are the directions. 4 minute walk from the Orpheum.


Easy enough right? Speaking of the Box office, I would get there early, as not only do the Roll Call people have to pick up tickets (separate window for them?), But the First FIFTEEN rows on ticketmaster were WILL CALL ONLY pick up, so this has the potential to be a shitstorm. It better open early.

Just talked to a Ticketmaster Rep and in their notes it states that the box office will open 2 hours prior to show. So that is good, but still it is potentially hundreds of people that had no choice but to pick these tickets up at will call. Get there EARLY to avoid any bullshit. I may be over reacting but I have 7 different tickets to pick up on 5 separate orders, from TM and Roll Call, so I'm worried about it.

Thanks for the tip.  We'll try to hit the pub before the show.  We're driving up that day from Portland which isn't too bad of a drive as long as there isn't a long line at the Peace Arch.
