Whos going? Where are your seats?

I logged on the presale as soon as it was available and only managed Left Center Row 7. The presale pretty much sold out instantly, I was surprised.

I am way too excited for this show because I have only seen MMJ once and that was at a 45 minute set at Pemberton Festival which we all know is about 2 hours too short.

I am also seeing Black Keys with Cage the Elephant 2 nights before this show, what a week its going to be!

Somehow managed to pull left center row 3...stoked!

SO AMPED
I pulled front row LC.  My other friend grabbed 9th row.

I got Black Keys on Monday, MMJ Portland Tuesday then Van on Wed.  Gonna be a great time.

There is another presale on Friday at 10AM through Live Nation

Wow third row and first row! You guys sure are lucky. I am not going to complain about 7th row however. I would pay anything just to sit last row to see these guys. This summer is going to be amazing!

I should be going and did try to get tickets through the presale.  I managed a LC 5th row pretty much dead center but didn't buy it as I'll be recording too and this isn't an ideal spot for a taper.  I'm hoping to nail down a ticket front row, dead center (DFC) of the dress circle.  I've had some great success from recording at that spot in that venue before.  I too saw them at Pemberton (recording found here http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=541602) and agree that the show was wayyyy too short.

On another note, I waited too long for the Black Keys/Cage the Elephant tickets and somehow they sold out?  Anyone know where I can get a cheap one?

^ I am downloading your footage of MMJ at Pemby right now. I still might have to admit that it was my favourite show at the festival even though Tom Petty and Coldplay were pretty sick as well and they were headliners. I just love MMJ and cant get enough of them.

What other shows do you have footage of? MMJ or not.

And thats too bad you couldnt get tickets to Black Keys. I dont see it being easy to get cheap tickets anywhere, I would assume constantly checking craigslist would be your best bet. Youve gotta get tickets though! That week is going to be amazing now. Black Keys at Deer Lake park is hard to beat. Obviously MMJ takes the cake tho. I was scared when I first saw June 29 for MMJ's date, I quickly ran to check my Keys tickets to make sure it wasnt the same night! I would have had to sell my Keys tickets and that would have been devistating because I've never seen them!

Hey excel,

First off, just to be clear, it's not footage...I'm a taper so it's only the audio.  Pemby was my first time ever seeing MMJ and it was love at first site!  I captured a total of 11 shows at Pemby including Tom Petty & Coldplay, Tragically Hip, NIN, Flaming Lips, Wolfmother and more.  I released a box set of all of my recordings from Pemby a couple of years ago so all the shows are available.  I've recently been releasing all the shows singly.

You said:

I can't really give you a list of *all* of the shows I've recorded because they number in the hundreds and most of them are not mastered.  In 2010 alone, I went to 289 shows!  I'm pretty active on Dime, TTD & other music trading sites and am constantly releasing depending on how fast I can get things mastered - that's where my bottleneck is.  I'm always looking for someone to either do mastering or cover-making, btw.   ;)

As for the Black Keys/CTE, I was an idiot.  I had the presale code 4 or 5 days before the tickets went on sale but didn't buy one...kept waiting.  Then they went on sale and I wasn't in a rush to get them...not because I wasn't excited about going but because it never occurred to me that an outdoor general admission show would ever sell out so long before the date.  I'm still sure they'll open up more tickets for sale one of these days so I'm keeping an eye out.

Peace,
S

I realized that it was just audio once downloaded, sounded great however and brought back really good memories so thanks! Ill be sure to try and check out some of your other recordings.

Hope you get your hand on some Keys tickets!

Wish I could say I'll be seeing you all there ( I live in Calgary) but my spring semester doesn't end until the 30th. Pemberton was my first MMJ show but not my introduction to them. We were so jacked after Pemberton that we ordered tickets to shows in Seattle and Portland that took place in sept 2008. Now every tour we take off to the states to see whatever we can for shows. Looks like Red Rocks for us this summer. Oh, and Bonnaroo!
The fact that my heart's beating,
Is all the proof you need

There was presale code was "concert" but the only tickets you could pull were Dress Circle (balcony) so I passed.

Don't get me wrong the Balcony is sweet at the Orpheum but I was just hoping to get my friend one closer to the stage on the floor

restlesssoul

i got a single front row of the balcony for a buddy in the presale, but will try tomorrow for something better for myself and friends....good luck all!

Pulled some 4th row LC for my buddy today.  Can't complain!

To those who have been to the Orpheum, how is the venue? I pulled tickets for row 18 on the left side... how is that section?

Also, I've never been to Vancouver and will be there all day before the concert...any recommendations on places to eat before the show?

Row 18 is decent. The venue is beautiful. Very Old Theatre

You can take a sweet ass virtual tour, here

Nice, hey?

There are a lot of places on Granville street to eat, pub and bar food type stuff. For restaurants a little further away from the venue, there are many.....I'm sure when you are walking around during the day you will see one you like....
