Ruckus

Man, I can only think of two albums that make my list right now.  Sheepdogs would but I thought that was a 2010 release.

1.  Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears - Scandalous
2.  Pharoahe Monch - W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) - Aww man I needed this one!

Many more to come as this seems to be a great year for music.  I'm sure Clockwork Angels and Circuital would make the list. ;)

Looking forward to hear the new Rural Alberta Advantage.
Can You Put Your Soft Helmet On My Head

Drive By Truckers- Go Go Boots
Middle Brother
Lucinda Williams - Blessed
Willie Nile- The Innocent Ones

Wasn't sure if Learn and Burn was originally 2010. Was there possibly a re-release?

I've heard increasing rumors that Clockwork Angels will not get released until Spring 2012 :-\.

I think I read that from an interview with Geddy who pretty much said they're half done and had plans to complete and release it in late 2011 but at that time they did not set the dates for the 2nd leg of the Time Machine Tour which has pushed the progress on the album back quite a bit.

Awaiting Sweatboard's Rush wrath.

I don't keep up w/ the release dates but...

The Strokes - Angles
Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
DBT - Go Go Boots
Elbow - Build a Rocket Boys (less so than the others)

Thanks, I really liked "Violin" and "Jesus" the songwritting starts to get on my nerves after a while though.

No Dynamite Steps? Give it another try.
I'm not saying it's easy...walking into sweet oblivion.

BH

1. Jessica Lea Mayfield - Tell Me
2. Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes
3. Middle Brother - S/T

Have not heard the Amos Lee, the Radiohead or the Kurt Vile.

Anybody buy that Soundgarden Live on I5 disc that just came out?
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I forgot this even came out.  I just haven't been in the mood to really get into it yet.  I'll give it a try soon.

I think this is all I've gotten from this year so far:

Radiohead  - The King Of Limbs
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
Iron & Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Well said True, Let England Shake is quite simply brilliant! Also like new Mogwai, Josh T Pearson, J Mascis, Elbow, Arbouretum...
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Black Love, Part II.  Gets better with every listen and sent me on a Dulli frenzy.  I've now become convinced that Teenage Wristband is the greatest rock song ever recorded.  And nice to see you DB - hope all is well (safe) with friends and relatives.

Cheers DB! It's been too long since I've said that. I must've not seen your post or I would've responded earlier. I like that all of her albums are so different. It has room to grow on me still, but I do love this song:

PJ Harvey - The Last Living Rose
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

bold992006

Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears -  Scandalous
J. Mascis - Several Shades Of Why
Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo
R.E.M. - Collapse Into Now
Low Anthem - Smart Flesh

Most Disappointing anthing DBT related...Go Go Boots and Isbell's album..really disappointed in both.
