Well it looks like there are only going to be about 10 or 15 of us at the Kool Haus.  Should be a very intimate show.  I can't wait!

Nah, it'll be a capacity turn-out of 2500. I'm bringing 5. Hey Rob, meet me at the pub on the waterfront, beside Sugar Beach and connected to the massive Corus building across from Kool Haus? I'll wear something obvious such as a Iowa Hawkeyes hat.

Sounds like a plan.  I'll wear something nondescript such as a black shirt but I'll keep my 6' 1" blond wife in tow who looks even taller next to me.
We'll try to get there around 5.

It a GA show and tix are still available.

http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/10004671F6ABB486?artistid=841284&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60

I saw this note, however:

"Tickets, purchased in advance through Ticketmaster, cannot be picked up at the venue. It is strongly recommended that tickets be picked up at least one day in advance of the show at your local TICKETMASTER RETAIL LOCATION"
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I recommend buying tix at the door. Show up when the doors open at 8, or try earlier. If you are in town and have time to kill, go to these two great indie music stores for tickets (with very low service charges): Rotate This on Queen St., west of Bathurst near Euclid Ave. and Soundscapes in Little Italy (near the Royal Theatre).

Good advice, though I note Ticketfucker says doors open at 7 PM.

Indeed, make that 7pm. Also, for all those Canuck fans that are Rogers subscribers, you can get tickets through your cell phone using Live Nation with minimal service fees. I bought mine this way.

As we get closer to monday night, if anyone hears mmj's projected set time can you please post it?
I'm bringing my father to the show, and we will be definitely cutting it close. Want to make sure we don't miss the the start of mmj's set.

I know settimes.ca might have it, but it's a crapshoot.
Thanks guys.

Jaimoe

Call the venue: Guvernment or Kool Haus. They always list set times.

I'm pretty pumped this morning.

oistheone

Word!

I love that tonight is the start of another leg on this tour -- the band is fresh, so who knows what to expect? Hoping for a few surprises...

petemoss

All I want is where to begin, phone went west, and o is the one.
Is that too much to ask, 3 deep cuts in one show?
Well, yes.
But I'm still super pumped.
MMJ shows are always a party.
I'm taking my father for this one, he is a big mmj fan. And seeing how he just moved here from Halifax, let's just say he hasn't a ton of great shows....

MMJ in Halifax would be an awesome show. Great great town.

Totally. East coast crowds are always super appreciative. If bands come, they will sell tickets. It was a big deal when Wilco came to Darthmouth, that was great to see.

I'm kind of confused. I emailed the guvernment. this was their response:

DOORS 7PM
MY MORNING JACKET 8pm
They will play an extended set of approx 3 hours.

I'm pretty sure that's wrong, right? There is an opener isn't there?

petemoss

Guvernment emailed me back, saying no opening band, extended set.
holy crap.
