Wow. That looks awesome. And on vinyl too. Really want hear Jim do Standing on the Moon but...

That would end me -- but Phossy might just do it too.

Yep. On the anniversary of Jerrys passing I listen to it probably a dozen times. And periodically throughout the year. Some times I'm watching Jim do his thing with his hair waving he is def embodying the spirit of Jerry, the grateful and the dead.

Anyone headed to Dead & Co shows at Fenway?

Amex tix on sale tomorrow at 10.

Last time I saw anything Dead was Furthur 4 or 5 years ago followed by Bob solo. Will be interesting to see what the new vibe and energy is.

Who else hear would kill to see a Brokendown Palace MMJ cover?

Put Carl on the pedal steel and some beautiful things could happen

I would love to have a piece of art with Jerry and Jim side by side. Both with similar poses, guitars and facial expressions. That would be pure gold.

I saw Dark Star Orchestra for the first time on Monday night. It was excellent, beyond my expectations! They came on at 8:00 and played until midnight, 20 minute set break.
Got to hear 2 all time favorites too: Terrapin and Standing On the Moon.
Go see them if you have a chance! I'd rather see this than Dead and Co. starring John Mayer any day!

setlist:
Hell in a Bucket
Mississippi Halfstep
Mama Tried
Big River
Hurts Me Too
Ramble on Rose
Keep on Growing
All over Now
Positively 4th street
Box of Rain

Set 2:
Dancing in the Street
After Midnight
Playing in the Band>
Terrapin Station>
Drums>
Space>
Gimme Some Lovin>
Playing in the Band
Standing on the Moon
Around and Around
The Golden Road ( to unlimited devotion)

I know what you mean.  I want to hear the music played as well as possible.  I'd rather hear a cover band play the shit out of it than some of the originators play less than the shit out of it.  DSO are pretty frickin' killer, especially if you get lucky enough to see and hear them recreate a 70s show.

I've heard Stu Allen and Mars Hotel are also on that level, but I've not been able to see them play.

I'll go see DSO any chance I get.

This past New Year's Eve we saw Tempe, AZ/Colorado band Xtra Ticket recreate 12-31-80 complete with the acoustic set, which they absolutely nailed.  I was lovin' it.

The National will publish a Tribute album of the Grateful Dead featuring War on Drugs, Jim James and others. Jim and friends (donĀ“t know who exactly) will cover Candyman.....

Anyone picking this up should add on a couple of tracks MMJ played at OBH 1, with Bob Weir - "I Know You Rider" & "Brown-Eyed Woman".  I'd even throw in the version of "Knocking On Heaven's Door" that Bob Weir played on as well.  I'm going to add them to the folder when I download everything.
Cuz it's been so long since someone shattered me.

And the version of "Dear Prudence" from night 2 of OBH1!
