Well aren't you the lucky duck! Enjoy that.

With the remastering of tapes from this tour came the complete box set and a second volume of "greatest hits".  The original limited edition box set is sold out and went for around $600, I believe.

TRACKLIST:

Disc One:
1. Bertha – Tivolis Koncertsal,Copenhagen (4/14/72)

Then there's Europe '72 - The Complete Recordings - All The Music Edition box set  $450.00

With all the $$$ I spend on MMJ shows and posters, I can't justify purchasing this box, but...

Volume 2?! Sweet!

Crispy

I am all over Volume 2, looks great and no repeats! I like this quote from the site: "Geez, I don't really need 22 shows on 73 discs in a box the size of a small refrigerator." Plus, I think I'm gonna need that vinyl Blues for Allah!
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Artwork added ^^^

I'd take 22 shows, on a limited edition Keep On Truckin' thumb-drive.  Gotta figure maybe 8-10 gigs.

This is a sweet little package.  Vinyl Box Set (click image for info)

I'm in Vegas for work, staying at the hard rock...furthur's playing tonight so I guess I'll check it out. Expectations=low. I did see phil Lesh in the lobby after I checked in yesterday, had a brief chat with him but didn't want to be "that guy" so I kept it brief and respected his space.  Phil is the man!

I believe that show will be broadcast live on Sirius XM, their Grateful Dead channel, at 11 pm EST.  All post-Jerry efforts fall short of expectations, but Kadlecik's take on Jerry's guitar work is pretty good.  I hope you have a good time.  There are worse things.

Nice Thread Johnny. That Vinyl Box Set looks tempting. I am going to the Greek to check out Further tomorrow night  ::)  I went to Further Fest a year ago and got to see Kadlecik's take on Jerry. You are right he is deft the best new take with Phil & Bob on the biggest missing link. I still wish Mickey & Bill would join the boys! Russo is awesome but I miss the thundering twosome.

I have to say that I went to JGB with Melvin Seals and Stu Allen delivers Jerry Band Jerry. Another plus for Stu is he is a Louisville Native  Worth a show if you haven't seen them. I miss Jerry Band more than the Dead these days... Have fun at the Vegas Show Walterfredo

I'm a fan, and have seen Furthur several times. Haven't been disappointed yet! As a matter of fact, they were pretty damn tight the last two times I saw them, and their sound is impeccable! One of the crispest, pristine sounding live shows I've seen in a while.  8) If you go in with an open mind, with the intention of having a good time, and enjoying the music for what it is, I think you'll enjoy it too, imo.

I have many friends who I went to Dead shows with who always want to compare the bands, and Furthur never measures up in their eyes. It's always ...I've seen better ( insert any Dead song), and I'm like, so have I, but that was still pretty damn good, and I'm glad these guys are still out there carrying the torch. It is what it is, and I  catch a show whenever I can. I'll be seeing them in November at MSG, and in Atlantic City.

Have fun Walter, and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the show.

Nice!  8)  Enjoy the show, and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the show.

I agree with you about Kadlecik, and Russo too. Like you, I miss that thundering twosome. Maybe someday we'll see them all together again......

I'll be the first to admit my perspective is jaded. It just doesn't do it for me anymore, and admittedly I view it like your friends do Eric. I'll have fun, I'm sure I will, but it ain't the same. I actually left the Furthur set after MMJ at outsidelands a couple years back, I just couldn't do it after seeing MMJ. I think if I keep my expectations low enough it'll be ok.  ;)

My idea for a Further sticker.... 'The Music Never Stopped...it just got worse'

Ok that's mean, I know it (but I still think it's funny!!)

Report to follow...
