So last night I'm at a charity event in NYC  (Riverkeepers,  a great organization dedicated to protecting NY's watershed and the mighty Hudson River)  and standing just a few feet away from me (and chatting with Bill Clinton) was Zach Galifianakis.  I'm not much of a celebrity hound but I really like Zach.  His stuff always cracks me up.   Anyway, when Zach and President Clinton were done talking, I walked over to Zach, introduced myself and told him I was a fan of his.  I said that I've really enjoyed his movies, like his hbo show Bored To Death but really LOVED him when he played Norman, the MMJ fanatic who sells Stan a wacky bootleg of Jim James in the bathroom.  He laughed.  Told me he was a huge fan of the band and was looking forward to the new album.  I told him I knew he was at T5 in NYC and he said he went a couple of nights.   Brief but memorable conversation (at least for me).  Chatting about MMJ with a celebrity (and a really nice friendly one as well) who is really into the band was pretty cool.   Penny Lane thought this was cool and that I should share w my forum buddies so here's my moment.

That's super!  I recently was at a party and we were discussing who our top 5 "laminate list" people were.  I had Zach in my top 5.  The girls thought I was crazy... but then I thought their choices were pretty crazy, too (A-Rod, really??).

He was friendly, quieter than I would have thought and much thinner than I would have guessed.  He is a great actor, funny as heck and a big MMJ fan.  He is just fine in my book.

Y'know, he and I stood next to each other at the bar on the roof of T5 on EU night, where I went up between Everest and MMJ sets to recover from the spins.  I was certain it was him, others weren't so sure.  I decided to let him be, as did everyone else, but wondered if he was grateful people were leaving him alone or kinda lonely.  He didn't seem to be with anyone else, at least when I saw him.

I love Bored to Death and pretty much all he's done.  Between Two Ferns, his standup (there used to be a few videos on Netflix instant viewing, such as the Comedians of Comedy tour w/he, Patton Oswald, and Brian Posein), and his two SNL appearances are pretty great.

In fact, on SNL last month he donned the Little Orphan Annie dress once again!

Also, check out his website  ;) http://www.zachgalifianakis.com/

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

The fact that he enjoys the band so much is almost too much bearded goodness for my heart to handle.
It's all happening.
