During Robins newscast, Robin reported that Yim issued an album of George Harrison songs (yes she is a couple of months behind).

She played clips of My Sweet Lord, All Things Must Pass and Going to Acalpulco.

However, Howard and Artie clobbered him over the excess echo and keep asking who is this guy.

Well someone on Robin's staff is a fan and unless it is Springsteen (Artie) or ridiculous dance music (Howard) they would trash anybody.

At least is it a mention!

Pops, Langerado, Lollapalooza, RCMH, Miami Beach, MSG, St Aug, T5.

Artie seemed to like Going to Acapulco, but it was way late in the show and they were punchy.

Definitely wondering if there is some connection.  Extremely rare for something like this to come up and even crazier that Robin had 3 songs cued up.

Stern trashing Yim means nothing since Stern has questionable taste in music; see his love of Bon Jovi, Motley Crue etc...

Yeah, seriously... I probably like about 20% of the music Stern is into.  Don't really miss him being on the free radio airwaves either...

Artie Lange = best part of his show

Let's hope Artie can steer clear of death.

He could certainly be in the next trifecta

For people who have Showtime, watch Beer League, I see theyve been airing it a lot. If crude humor doesnt bother you, its cant miss!

Artie will die before his time. Even if he doesn't keel over in the next few years from an overdose, heart disease will get him.

Howard cares about music as much as Artie cares about his weight. I recall Howard interviewing Eddie Van Halen some years ago, acting as if he didn't even know any of the man's signature licks as he listened to various tracks being played in the background. "Oh, that sounds good. Who is that?"  ::)

A couple days later they were talking about how shitty Yoko Ono's music is (I agree) they couldn't believe that people actually like it.  They had to call Meg Griffin (indie music dj) in to get her opinion. She said it sucks too and said she'd much rather play The Monsters Of Folk.  Here's the whole thing from Marksfriggin.com

QuoteHoward played some of the Yoko Ono stuff for Meg so she could let him know what she thinks. Meg was laughing when she heard the start to the song with Yoko cackling.

After playing some of the song for Meg Howard told her that it goes on and on. He asked Meg what she thinks and if she likes that. Meg said ''Um... No.'' Howard said he knew it. Robin said she's heard many of her Christmas specials and she wonders why she doesn't like something like that.

Meg said she might play something like that just to let people know it's available. She said she doesn't like it and she wouldn't play it very often. Fred wanted to ask Meg a follow up question. Howard didn't let him and told him to find some of this Monsters of Folk stuff Meg was talking about.

Meg said she's on The Loft on SIRIUS and she plays music like the Monsters of Folk. She said that Howard and Yoko have a lot in common with their music. Howard said they both loved John Lennon and that was about it. Meg said that Yoko has caused a lot of controversy just like Howard has done. Howard said she had no musical talent though. Howard said he had talent for radio.

Fred played the Monsters of Folk stuff and it was at least some form of music. Howard let that play a bit and said that it was alright. He said it was music at least. He said he could probably get into it. Howard said it **sounds like that guy who did the covers of George Harrison songs with too much echo on it. **NOTE: I was listening and Howard said "That's the guy who did those George Harrison covers**

Meg said that John Lennon used to listen to their station and he liked what they were playing because it reminded him of Yoko's music. Meg said John did what he did because he loved Yoko. She said you could see him pretty much holding in his laughter while that was going on.

Howard said he thinks that John was Punking all of them back then. Artie said that was his way of going apple picking with a chick. Meg said it wasn't a bad thing.
